In the garden behind Christian VII's Palace in Amalienborg, Queen Margrethe of Denmark received newly appointed officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force. Traditionally, the Queen congratulates new officers of the Danish Armed Forces who have completed their training. The Queen first received newly appointed officers from the Army Officers' School, then newly appointed officers from the Navy Officers' School and finally newly appointed officers from the Air Force Officers' School.
During the receptions, the Queen also presented "H.M. The Queen's Dagger of Honor" and "H.M. The Queen's Saber of Honor" to a newly graduated lieutenant from the Army, Navy and Air Force. During the three receptions in the garden, the Queen greeted and congratulated each officer.
Burgundy is a great colour for Margrethe. She looks really good!
ReplyDeleteI very much agree, she looks great. What a wonderful ceremony.

DeleteLook at that posture.....The colors look very nice too!
ReplyDeleteThe Queen is looking as smart as ever. Good colour combination.
ReplyDeleteWould be nice to have some details on the brooch.
In the last photo and on the Queen's right, the man looks like Prince Henrik supporting a beard and wearing glasses.
