Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg appeared as a special guest on ABC's morning show Good Morning America (often abbreviated to GMA). Maggie Rulli from ABC News went to the Berg Palace in Luxembourg and did an interview with Grand Duchess Maria Teresa in order to learn what it is like to be a member of a royal family in 21st century. The Grand Duchess wore a floral brocade blazer from Alexander McQueen for this interview. (Click to watch interview: ABC News)

DeleteLove the jacket, not so much her hair
ReplyDeleteSecond time today I have completely agreed with your comments, Denise! My thoughts exactly.
DeleteThe hair and the eyebrows are not a success. The jacket is nice although a bit too tight.
ReplyDeleteAgree, overall look is nice and I like the freshness of her make-up. Her skin is smoother than during their stay in sun country. But I find that in close-up photos her brows are too heavy and hair is too short. Older photos showing her with near-shoulder length hair are much more flattering. S.M.
DeleteNice interview. I like the blazer, good focus piece with keeping the rest of the outfit plain. I think the soft pink color is beautiful.

Agree only with the eyebrows (somewhat too much) . For a tiny lady with a round face, this is a beautiful hairstyle. Highlights also good, not overdone. Nice jacket, the pattern gives additional interest and connects nicely to the black top. Very well done, bearing in mind one's own body characteristics is important. (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteIdéalement prête, avec son maquillage et sa veste de clown pour un numéro sur la piste aux étoiles, beaucoup de charme, cette princesse !

Love this jacket, the fabric is a dream and the fabrication is superb, obviously it would fit a little long on the duchess being that she is petite, that being said I think is way too much for a day event, I can picture it with gauzy white or a fabric with a hint of silver palazzo pants for a formal/evening occasion. I don’t dislike her hair but her makeup, specially the eyebrows are just not flattering for her, I do like natural thick brows but hers are a little harsh.

My thoughts as well. I think the jacket looks out of place for a daytime event, and don't care for it with her more casual day clothes. It looks much better the way it has been styled on the model. It also would have looked better if it would have been altered to fit her petite frame. ~d
DeleteThe jacket is superb! I was not sure whether the top and trousers were black or navy - navy would be my preferred choice.
ReplyDeleteI also like a lot the smooth way in which she speaks English, very soothing. No Spanish accent. I guess when one speaks many different languages as she does and having lived for most of her life abroad the accents start merging into each-other, resulting in a unique blend which, in her case, is quite appealing.

Interesting jacket. It´s very recognizable though, and likely won´t get reworn often. She did well in pairing it with simple black trousers and top; anything else would have been too much. The jacket is a bit tight on her upper arms unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThe other lady´s dress is really nice. Lovely silhouette and nice colours.
Splendid interview. This is a truly refined woman.
ReplyDeleteI think MT looks great . The jacket is beautiful and her complete ensemble is one of her better ones. To me, it is an appropriate outfit worn by the equivalent of a Queen who is about to be seen by millions of people who have varied expectations about fashion from such a person. Her hair and make-up are fine too.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm most impressed with is her warmth and measure of humility during the interview. She comes across quite genuinely. She speaks well, knows what to say, and said all the right things.

Overall look elegant. One of my favourite royal families. Mary i
ReplyDeleteDislike her pink jacket that looks more suited for an evening engagement, not a morning day time show. Eyebrows, too dark, thick, heavy; makeup with pink/bronze blush way too heavy as was the eye makup. cam
ReplyDeleteThe drawn on eyebrows are way too harsh and need to be more refined and softer. Her eyebrows look like what a stage actress would wear to me!
