Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid an online working visit to Amsterdam UMC on Thursday morning 11 March. The working visit focused on the various (medical) scientific studies that have been started in the Netherlands since the outbreak of the corona virus. Queen Máxima received information from doctors and scientists about the most recent developments in COVID-19 research.
Queen Máxima paid an online working visit to Rooms with Attention (Kamers met Aandacht) on Thursday afternoon 11 March. This foundation which supports small-scale mixed housing projects for young people helps young people between 18 and 23 years old to learn to stand on their own feet without a social safety net.
Queen Maxima looks very good today. Her hair is styled nicely, I think, and her blouse is very becoming. Her turquoise earrings and ring work well with the (is it aubergine?) color of her blouse. Her online conferees look delighted to talk to her.
ReplyDeleteSad, she pays so much attention to the jewelry she wears, but not her hair. Annie
ReplyDeleteMaxima has another concept of hair styling than many bloggers here. A look at today hair styling photos contain similar suggestions to her styling or even sloppy styling. The choice has widened, however not appealing to everyone or sometimes openly in contradiction with earlier concepts. There is room for everyone. I think we have already read here that Dutch people are more found of natural, casual style.
ReplyDeleteThe Dutch definitely like more natural everything. If you saw the weather here to-day you would understand why. A hairstyle that cannot bear being blown about by a 100km/hour wind daily is useless. Either one likes Maxima's stripes (in her hair) or not. I feel that at least it is no attempt to hide that she streaks it. I don't like obvious striped hair personally but I think it looks very nice today. In fact I think she looks very nice today. Casual but smart for a home office Zoom business meeting.
ReplyDeleteWell, she is indoors so I don’t think bad weather could be used as an excuse. Even when attending in person is not like she has to run in the rain to catch a bus, she is driven to the very entrance. We have lowered the bar so much that today’s hair seems like an accomplishment. The state of her hair is generally inexcusable, if she can afford couture, shoes that cost more than most people make in a week and expensive jewelry, she can definitely have a hairdresser on payroll. Fine examples of good grooming even during COVID are Letizia, Kate, Mary etc..,,
DeleteBefore you confuse my comment with a dislike of her, nothing further from the truth, I find Maxima pleasant and relatable.

Love the purple amethyst colour of the blouse and it's great to see how delighted the other people in the call are to engage with her.
ReplyDeleteI must say, this is the best I've seen in a very long time. I like the middle part in the hair, it is flattering (as well as just the general grooming). But the overall outfit is well done, nothing over the top or too flashy. Great look!

Like the top of the dress. Hair much better and her gorgeous smile is really warm and engaged. But as a whole I think the dress is too much fuss as well as all these bracelets around left and right wrists.
