On March 12, Queen Mathilde visited UZ Brussels University Hospital (Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel) in Jette. The Queen also visited De Appeltuin and Villa Samson at at UZ Brussel. De Appeltuin is one of the 40 Freinet Schools in Flanders. Villa Samson is a pleasant, six-room setting where patients can choose to meet up with their family and their own pets, or to benefit from a pet therapy session with either cats or dogs.
I like this tone of green on Mathilde and the color of her accessories she has paired with her outfit. From what I can see, the silhouette of her dress appears to be very flattering for her. She looks at her best when her clothes are not too tight or fitted on her trouble areas. ~d
ReplyDeleteLovely shade of green. I like both the coat and the dress beneath. Only quibble is perhaps too much of a good thing? Maybe a contrasting colour of dress beneath the enveloping cloak would have had more impact.
ReplyDeleteWe hardly see anything from the dress, I am not sure about the styling of the dress; it may look a bit too conventional.
DeleteThese. Are. My. Colours.

i suppose she didn't find a green mask to match her outfit. it has become a fashion statement for her.

What's that scrap of matching green fabric on the table in photo #6? And in photo #1 she is wearing a cloth mask over the paper mask, which looks like it could be of the same fabric as the dress. S.M.
DeleteShe had a matching one upon her arrival (in the first photo). I wonder why she took it off. Double masks are the stupidest thing in my view, but maybe in the world of double-maskers, wearing only one mask is being "casual"? Or maybe it replaces taking off one´s coat while indoors???
DeleteRegarding the rest of her outfit: I like the green, but it´s a bit too much, especially with that much fabric. I agree with Annie: both pieces would have looked better combined with a contrasting piece.
They have a pet therapy sessions? I love this and a cat on this pictures is adorable! And so is Mathilde in her green shadows - very elegant.
ReplyDeleteThe cat is a Maine Coon. It's a giant.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde looks very nice in this green ensemble. I love that pet therapy is recognized as a bona fide treatment. That adorable cat is not intimidated by anyone and lets everyone know who's boss:-)
ReplyDeleteColors of her outfit are great, however, the cape just has too much material and seems bulky when she is indoors.
