Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall, have attended a military parade during the second day of their royal visit to Athens. This morning, the Prince and Duchess attended the Greek Independence Day Military Parade at Syntagma Square in Athens. Prince Charles lays a wreath at the memorial, which is dedicated to Greek soldiers who died during conflict.
Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall met with Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and her partner Pavlos Kotsonis in Athens, as Greece celebrates 200th anniversary of 1821 revolution and war of independence.
Wow, this is a really nice coat (?) of the duchess.

Camilla looks lovely,I like her shoes and crossing ones legs at the ankles, is quite acceptable in polite society.Charles is looking particularly distinguished .
DeleteLove the midnight blue color and the mix of fabrics. Sleeve length doesn't work the gloves. Not sure if its due to the wrong undergarments or fit but something is off in the chest area.

Another nice outfit on the Duchess.
ReplyDeleteI like the combination of the coat with the lace and love that deep shade of blue. It goes well with her blonde hair.
I think the length is perfect, but when I see the sleeves in the photo where she is standing, wonder if they are slightly too short...and whether the dress was meant to be a size or 1/2 a size bigger. However most of her clothes are bespoke, so either it is meant to be that way or it's an older outfit.
Very nice though .

The Duchess looks wonderful in blue. This coat is interesting but I can't decide if I like the lace on the bottom half. I love the brooch she is wearing, even though it looks like a pretzel :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure what the coat fabric is but it definitely does not take kindly to all those princess seams. I love the colour on her though and think if another fabric had been used that had enabled easing of seams it would have been a winner. I am not too crazy about how the lace has been used it look's like it was plonked on as an after thought to hide the bad seams. Somehow it needed a better way to be connected with the upper part of the coat.
ReplyDeleteSober and elegant outfit, only to be destroyed by the shoes, they don’t belong with this coat. They would be OK with a 2 piece suit , perhaps Chanel style in the same color family.
ReplyDeleteI don’t oppose gloves, but leather ( if that’s indeed what they are) is totally out of synch with this dressy outfit. Also 1 more centimeter added to the coat as well as proper undergarments would work wonders.

Belle couleur bleu-nuit dans cette tenue qui s'accorde très bien avec la blondeur de ses cheveux mais je ne suis vraiment pas fan de la dentelle - Toujours ses jolies boucles d'oreilles et que représente sa jolie broche ?!
ReplyDeleteLovely coat in a great colour but agree that the sleeves are not the correct length for the gloves and the fitting is not perfect. I wonder why the Duchess has such a liking for two tone shoes. Would much prefer a solid colour. Prince Charles looks a lot less scruffy in a formal dress suit 😀
