Crown Princess Mette-Marit spoke online with author Alf van der Hagen as part of her virtual Literature Train 2021. This was the first of four literature talks made on Instagram. The conversation was about interviewing people and making literature out of it. Next Thursday, The Crown Princess will speak with American author Cheryl Strayed about her book "Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar"
Alf van der Hagen was born in 1962 in Norway and is an author who has written several books based on interviews with others. He won the Norwegian Critics prize for the best non-fiction book with Dag Solstad Uskrevne Memoarer (2013), and was nominated for the Brage prize with Kjell Askildsen Et liv (2014). The Crown Princess wore a Vilshenko Rachel blouse, which she had worn before.
I just love Vilshenko - but clothes from that brand doesn't look good on everyone. Mette-Marit has this special something that make this blouse shine on her. And she is a beauty in the whole meaning of this word.
ReplyDeleteYes , indeed.
DeleteMette-Marit looks naturally beautiful. Her conversation with Mr. van der Hagen seems mutually enjoyable. I really like M-M's blouse. It has a certain Scandanavian vibe.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you Debra .
DeleteTrès jolies broderies sur fond noir qui mettent en valeur ses cheveux blonds ; elle est ravissante !
ReplyDeleteI saw the interview and must say I'm quite impressed who intellectual Mette- Marit really is. Impressed with her questions and talk with the author. Shall be interesting to see next week. MM
ReplyDeleteCP Mette-Marit + Vilshenko = A match made in royal style heaven!
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, CP M-M is not alone in this stylish Vilshenko club, because CP Mary and P Char are with her.
Sadly, I am not.

Save up your pennies Bepa.
DeleteAs my old mum used to say, "if you look after your pennies they will soon turn into pounds :-))
Wonderful lady!
ReplyDeleteMature,lovely,well dressed,down to earth,concerned..
She is going to be a exceptional queen, like her mother in law..
A certain duchess in the other side of Atlantic, should take some lessons, how to be and act...
I usually like Vilshenko pieces but I am not a fan of this blouse. The embroidery around the arm holes makes it look like the wearer is carrying a back-pack.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I adore CP MM. She is calm and poised and always speaks so genuinely, and with such confidence and intellect. I've watched a few interviews with her over the past few years on different subjects and she makes a major impression on me every time. She will make a fantastic Queen one day.
