Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark wished each other good luck on the telephone for the Men's Handball World Cup final. The two countries faced each other in the final match. In Denmark, Prince Christian photographed his father during the telephone call. The Swedish royals also shared a photo showing the entire Crown Princess family, that is, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar. In the photo, Prince Oscar waves a Swedish flag.
Denmark was the defending champion while Sweden reached its first final since 2001. The final match took place in the Cairo Stadium Sports Hall in Egypt. Denmark retained their International Handball Federation (IHF) World Men’s Handball Championship title after beating Sweden 26-24.
Well known that they are good friends!
ReplyDeleteI believe cousins, (I think?).
DeleteThey are not cousins but relatives.
DeleteThe swedish King is cousin with the danish Queen.
Her mother Ingrid, Fredriks grandmother, was born as a swedish princess in the current royal family then.
At the time when it mattered that royals married other "blue-blooded" and not commoners.. ;-)
Nice to see families interacting in a jovial manner.
ReplyDeleteThis is true sportsmanship and it does not hurt they are close friends. Go Denmark!
ReplyDeleteCharmantes petites photos ; je trouve le prince Oscar de plus en plus craquant !
ReplyDeleteGreat to see their friendship.
ReplyDeleteFredrik gets credit from me for the moderate screen size and old-school "morgensko" :-)
Victoria looks great. Relaxed and happy.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the lovely Swedish royal family in particular
ReplyDeleteThat's cute to see. "Hey, good luck - but I hope you won't win." And Estelle is also holding a Swedish flag. Wow, close match. Congrats to the winners. ~Laurel~
