  2. Mutter, mutter, clutter, clutter. 3 pictures behind, 2 candles each for 2 candlesticks. A busy little side table with an even busier vase and some very busy flowers. The brass on the chest of drawers adding business. Then that orange jacket that I am not fond of at the best of times, a busy blouse trimmed with two black ribbons and hard to see but some very big baubles on het right wrist. The creases on the badly fitting jacket just add to the clutter. Dear Maxima I love and respect what you are and do but PLEEEZ try to remember that less is more. Distraction away from your cause is not the best way to help that cause.
Please find a stylist to help you choose your clothes. You can still be outrageous and flamboyant but in a much simpler way and pay for the house of Natan to emigrate to the South Pole.

I could not agree more.... by the way, this jacket is not Natan, but as ill fitting....
Why can somebody with all the means and possibilities available in this world not succeed in wearing clothes that fit properly? One of the main reasons that Letizia always looks impeccably dressed is the fact that all her clothes are tailored to perfection, even the cheap high street one. And indeed..... Maxima is always overdressed and overaccessorized. The same holds for her working space. This seems to be her taste...... too bad.

Orange jacket is not a good color, and stringy hair, you can see it even though the photos are small, how sad she allows herself to look like this. She could be beautiful if the hair was cut, she stopped wearing over the top large jewelry, and some of the nutty outfits she wears.

  4. There is A LOT to unpack in this picture. Does she have an unfortunate root situation going on with her bleached hair? Is that a scarf around her neck? Anyway, I'm not a fan of that blouse with the orange jacket. I'd much rather the darker blue blouse she wore before, give it some contrast. And that background is way too busy.

    1. Chel 2/4/21 8:48AM. There is much drama in the root situation. Our hairdressers are closed /forbidden to open their doors during Corona lockdown which was until 18 Feb. but is being extended into March.
Now I don't think she actually goes to the hairdresser but probably the hairdresser comes to her BUT she cannot be seen (a political No No)to have touched up her hair even if she claimed to have done it herself or have her family do it for her.
There was a huge hue and cry last year already because they dared to go on holiday even if it was by private plane flown by the King and a private house of their own in Greece. It was seen by many as "not done".
They then apologised for their (so called) misdemeanour in a public speech on television after cutting their holiday short and returning home almost immediately. Quite honestly I do not see what their private doings have to do with the public but many many subjects think they have a right to police others. At any rate I don't think she dares to touch up her hair or cut it.

    2. Oh, that makes sense then with the hair. I certainly can't keep up with what is open/closed in each country lol. I would rather have her have the roots then than have special circumstances for her.

@nalerina: thanks for explaining. When u are supposed to visit your stylist for a root touch up every 4 to 6 weeks, then closed salons make it impossible to do so and u end up with dark roots :/
Although I must say that Maxima has had her hair problems even pre-covid-19 ;) I think she's killing her hair with all that bleaching and even good hair products can not always help or save her hair from looking disastrous.

  5. I think I will take it the easy way : the quality of the pictures, probably in spite of a lot of goodwill by Helen, does not allow to comment really. I agree very much with Chel about the blouse.

I think Maxima is a good example for protocol and styling teachers. They can show students how to represent well (Duchess Kate, Princess Mary, Queen Letizia) and how not to do it - on the frightening example of Maxima.
