Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attended the presentation of the Monaco Sevens 2021
On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attended the official presentation of the Monaco Sevens 2021 rugby tournament at the Yacht Club de Monaco. The virtual kick-off was given by rugby player Mathieu Bastareaud after a ball pass between Princess Charlene and Prince Albert.
During this men's and women's qualifying tournament for the Tokyo Olympic Games, 24 teams will compete on June 19 and 20 at the Stade Louis II in Monaco. The tournament is organized with the support of the Monegasque Rugby Federation, the Prince's Government and institutional partners. As a result, the two best women's teams and the best men's team will be able to participate in the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer.
At the same time, on June 19, during this Olympic qualifying tournament, the Sainte-Dévote children's rugby tournament organized by the Monegasque Rugby Federation with the support of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation will also take place. The Monaco Sevens 2021 draw will be done at the end of April in Monaco.
Why not to shave all head!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, her head could match her husband's head with a bit more shaving...
Deletenot a good look, certainly not her best.
Meghan
It can impossible be the first time you gals see a woman with a undercut. Seriously give us a break. It's just hair.
DeleteThere was a time when Caroline made some shoots with her bold head.
DeleteCharlene's hair will grow again.
Let her be, it is her choice only.
Yes, it is her choice and in my opinion it is a bad choice. It is not flattering or pretty. I agree with Meghan, she is looking more like her husband.
DeleteRachel
Anonymous2/11/21, 12:47 PM, True! Caroline made some photos with bald head but that was not her choice, she had alopecia.
DeleteAna Katarina
DeleteYes, you are right.
It was not her choice, but she could not have made those photos.
On the contrary, she chose to make that session and I still remember how
beautiful she was even with her bald head.
We may or may not like Charlene hair cut, but I think she looks modern and edgy.
We do not know if a short cut was even suggested by her hairstylist to strengthen her hair.
I think Charlene looks great in this suit, it is tailored perfectly and highlights how tall she is. The slight flare of the pants are perfect (a feature i often don't like because the proportions are wrong, not in this case).
ReplyDeleteChel
This tomboy look is very Charlene it suits her style. But the view of the hair cut from behind is Not flattering at all!
ReplyDeleteShe has an splendid figure, love how the hair is looking.
ReplyDeleteCB
Terrible hairstyle...
ReplyDeleteTerrible hairstyle - didn't she succeed in your view?
DeleteSporty. Stylish. Sharp.
ReplyDeleteGreat look for my fave Olympian Princess to support the next generation of Olympians.

Totally Agree!!!
DeleteNot a good look, hair wise.
ReplyDeleteWell the haircut .......... I'm going to have a nice (strong) cup of tea and I'll phone in later.
ReplyDeleteOh Charlene, that is so-o-o-o bad. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteIt is! Bad and sad.
DeleteIt is a modern hair cut.
DeleteIt can be bad for some, but sad is beyond me.
Looking fabulous. The tailoring of blazer and trousers are lovely and flattering.
ReplyDeleteHair looks good to me - I think she can get away with very short hair.
I think you have the right words, she can get away with very short hair. In my view this is even rather rare.
DeleteShe doesn't have "very short hair" , she has idiotic hair cut !
DeleteAgreed! This blazer really works on Princess Charlene. In the second picture you can see how it nips in a bit to showcase her waist. In my opinion this is one of the most flattering outfits she has worn and it stays true to her sometime androgynous in nature style.
DeleteShe does have "very short hair" - that is a fact.
DeleteIdiotic hair cut is an opinion.
As is "what an idiotic comment".
My first thought was statuesque. The style and fit of the jacket and trousers are immaculate and emphasize her beautiful figure. The feminine take of the blazer is clever. The cut of the trousers is very flattering. She has created a very harmonized look as opposed to just wearing a smaller version of the blazer worn by Albert, as we would typically see.
ReplyDeleteVery much agreed.
DeleteShe's an attractive woman and wears clothing well.
ReplyDeleteI do wish that she would go back to the cute fluffy pixie cut she had a couple of years ago. It was practical and easy for an active mom and athlete such as herself while still being feminine. This half shaved look is just not flattering on her.
striking woman
ReplyDeleteI think both of them look fabulous. Charlene's hair is nicely styled. I am curious as to what is weighing down Prince Albert's pockets. Maybe phones?
ReplyDeleteI just saw your post after I posted mine on Albert's pockets as well. Yes, I agree. His pockets look weighted down, and the tailoring on the top flap and the puckers is not good at all.
DeleteThe words on the blog seem smaller and faint. Makes it harder to read. perhaps an increase in font size and darker please
ReplyDeletePress ctrl and + and you'll get a bigger font.
DeleteFor a moment I had impression there are 2 men posing together, sorry
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one that is not a fan of the haircut or the clothes. I liked how she used to look when she was engaged to him.
DeleteAn elegant woman, but that "punk" hairstyle takes the focus away from everything else. I just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteThat is hardly a "punk" hairstyle.
DeleteI like Charlene but I am not sure what is going on. She does lots of good works. Possibly the blazers are club blazers.
ReplyDeleteI think that the men's blazers are club blazers, but Charlene's blazer is slightly different with black lapels and showing the waist (probably made to measure).
DeleteI like the colour very much. I once had a blazer in the same colour (Italian ready-to-wear) and I've tried to find another in similar colour, in vain.
By now we all know her haircut, no need for further comments. If she likes it herself and Albert has nothing against it, even we should be satisfied. Charlene's hairdo is NOT OUR business.

DeleteGreat!
Lately Charlene has been dressing in more shapeless or baggy clothes trending towards the masculine, and this unflattering haircut does her no favors either. It’s a pity. She has an amazing figure and a beautiful face and softer styles bring them out more.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Gryffindor.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
DeleteWhat is wrong with the world today when some people are in uproar over a haircut? Everybody on this planet also royals choose themselves what haircut and haircolor they want to have. Making a big deal out of it just show who we are not Charlene or the other ladies we try to talk down because our own preconceptions of what is accepted . What centrury do we really live in? For godness sake it's just a undercut. Many women all around the world have it. It's quite normal. What about talking about the event instead.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are on the wrong blog for this kind of opinion.
DeleteWell, the question is: what is wrong each time Charlene appears?
DeleteCannot you even guess?!
DeleteLove the "lollipop" skirts on the young dancers. Will Princess Grabriella join their troupe?
Has anyone ever thought Charlene was dressing very much like the others in the picsc using just this kind of clothes as a sort of uniform which was probably requested to launch the rugby tournament?
ReplyDeleteShe may not have been given other options.
As for her hair, there are lots of women with this hair cut nowadays.
They look like bodyguards rather than royals
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 5:52 - that is so true!
DeleteWhere is all the outrage for the stupid hairstyles that are 30, 40, and 50 years old? A lot of the royal women we critique get so stuck and fear change that the only way to distinguish what year a photo was taken is by the number of wrinkles on their face or the amount of grey in their hair. An unchanging, flammable helmet of hair and hairspray that has been on the head of a woman for decades warrants criticism. It is fantastic to have a royal is changing her hair. It is not a tattoo on her face, it is a temporary change. The obsession over Charlene's hair is ridiculous. Whether you would wear your hair that way or not, some women do. She is not alone. The comments against Charlene are particularly harsh, which suggest a bias against her. Some of the comments against her cannot even be categorized as critiques. They are more like attacks. Her hair will grow out, and she will probably try something new. Steel yourselves for the next look!
ReplyDeleteStanding ovation!
DeleteTotally agreed.
Very well articulated response to those running around with their own hair on fire because P Charlene is not a member of the helmet hair club or the bouncy curls shampoo advert club. These are all fine hair styles, anyone can chose to do anything to their own hair. There is no hair protocol or singular way to be a royal. I would be bored to tears if there were such rules nowadays. Thankfully, NMR is quite diplomatic in covering so many royals all over the world. Bravo!

I do like their clothing color scheme. It's extremely lovely looking. I am troubled by the tailoring on Albert's right pocket. The flap is cut a tad wonky and the bottom of the pocket is puckering. I apologize if I am being too picky. It just surprised me that neither his tailor or dresser saw this. Maybe it's supposed to be that way. It just caught my eye as not quite right...as I sit here at my computer in sweats.
ReplyDeleteI do think he has some necessary (to him) item tucked away, like his phone, that is creating the distortion. I noticed it but never gave it a second thought. My problem has always been with Prince Charles. He has all but destroyed the pockets of his jackets from shoving his hands in them. After Charles' pockets, Albert's don't look too bad.
DeleteGreat point!
DeleteShe looks gorgeous! That is not a look for everyone but it suits her slender and tall figure perfectly and the modern haircut certainly is refreshing. The main thing is that she herself likes it — even her husband’s opinion is irrelevant.
ReplyDelete-B.
Indeed.💚
DeleteRecently I read in Huffington Post an interview Princess Charlene gave in Point de Vue magazine concerning her hair that has created so much buzz. She said the style was her decision and it pleases her. She acknowledged it has provoked all kinds of comments and she knows that of all of the royal families she has tried the most different hairstyles and she would continue and it was her choice. She also mentioned that in 2021 when there are so so many troubling issues going on that there are many more subjects that deserve our attention. She said what counts is that Jacques and Gabriella adore it and after the initial shock wore off Prince albert now likes it too. Princess Charlene said when she wore micro bangs that caused a stir too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that. She is right. With the state of the world right now, it is much ado about nothing. It is ONE woman's HAIR! I am glad to hear she will not be deterred by the critics.
DeleteSome nasty comments on her hair are so ridiculous, pointless and old fashioned that Charlene is probably still laughing out loud!
DeleteI visit this site often but this is the first time I have posted a comment. I thought this site was about fashion and I see nothing wrong with saying we like or don't like something. I have great respect for Charlene and saying that I do not like something she is wearing or something she has done to her hair, does not lessen that respect in any way.
ReplyDeleteWell said, but it all depends on the words chosen to criticize someone we do not like.
