Princess Estelle of Sweden celebrates her ninth birthday today. Princess Estelle, that is, Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary was born on February 23, 2012. Estelle has one younger brother, Prince Oscar, who will celebrate his fifth birthday on 2 March. On the occasion of the 9th birthday of the Princess, Swedish Royal Court released new photos. The new photos were taken at Haga Palace by Kate Gabor.
Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland, is the elder child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Estelle was the first grandchild for King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden and is second in line to the Swedish throne. Happy birthday to you, Princess Estelle.
Oh so cute and charming, both of them!!! Estelle does resembles so much of Victoria, but the smile is Daniel’s!

Hi, 2:13am. Their dog Rio is a Cavapoo, he's a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & a Poodle. I think he's around one year old.

They appear to be very happy children, always smiling (although I remember when Oscar was a toddler, he seemed to wear a constant scowl, but even that was adorable). Happy birthday, Princess. Very cute, my favorite is the last picture which seems more natural and unposed. I think the skirt is a bit short, especially with the white tights. Too much white with the white blouse and tights. Don't understand little girls wearing mini-skirts.

Beautiful children! I like that they included Oscar in the pictures so he doesnt feel excluded. They seem to share a beautiful bond. The puppy is a real cutie. I think Oscar is the spitting image of Victoria, whereas Estelle is more of a mix of both parents, some time she seems to look more like Victoria, other times more like Daniel. Either way, she is beautiful and very charming. I couldn't help but notice her perfect posture sitting on the chair, with the legs crossed at the back - proper class! She has perfected her princess stance already, well done!

She's a cutie - but I'm not sure if it's good for a kid with this self-awareness about her royal status at such a young age.
ReplyDeleteCompare to Madeleines children who still have no clue about it. They appear far more natural and humble, as kids should be.
Madeleine's kids aren't the future Queen of Sweden and live outside the country. I think it's smart of her parents to prepare her for a future role from an early age. They involve her in select events that are age appropriate.
DeleteThis is a more formal picture but we have seen other less posed pictures. I don't see any indication that she isn't humble. Estelle seems like a happy, confident, well-adjusted child. The last picture of her smiling with her chin up is a pure Victoria.
