In connection with the Danmarks Indsamling, Crown Princess Mary gave an exclusive TV interview to DR1. During the interview, Crown Princess Mary spoke to TV host Mark Stokholm. Crown Princess Mary mentioned how the global pandemic has made living conditions difficult for many of the world's most vulnerable people. The interview will be broadcast on Saturday, February 6 on DR1 at 19:00.
The Danmarks Indsamling is a shared fundraising effort, whereby Denmark's largest humanitarian organisations join forces to raise money for international emergency aid projects. This year’s aid will go to those children who cannot receive emergency medical care and vital vaccines because the health system has broken down.

Massimo Dutti wool blazer
Quelle magnifique couleur et style de blazer qui a l'air d'être très apprécié ; en effet, nous l'avons déjà vu porté par Kate !
ReplyDeleteInfinitely prefer the straight hairstyle of yesterday.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful bottle green jacket day.
Princess Mary and and Grand Duchess Maria are both wearing one. Less happy about the duchesses grey blouse that was not a good choice
She looks very pretty, as usual, but I'm not sure the long tight curls framing her face are the right look for her. Her blazer worn with her black pants and top is gorgeous. I also like her boots.
ReplyDeleteMary is very good person and also so perfect in her work.
ReplyDeleteHi. I've always been impressed with how quickly and completely she seemed to have taken to the Danish language, but I don't speak it. To any Danes on here, I'd be interested to know -- was it as impressive as it seems? When she speaks, does she sound to you like a fluent foreigner or a born Dane?
ReplyDeleteI am Danish, and first of all Mary did not learn the language quickly. She came to Denmark around 20 years ago and Danish was her first foreign language, so naturally it would be difficult. Compare with Alexandra and Marie, who already spoke several foreign languages when they came to Denmark. Marie once said she loved learning a new language. I don't think languages is one of Mary's interests. Also Danish is difficult for foreigners to learn. When Mary speaks today you understand everything she says, but she still makes a lot of errors regarding grammar and pronounciation. It also happens that words are used in the wrong connection.
DeleteYes, Mary had difficulty learning Danish. I love languages & would appreciate the intense courses she & Marie would have had (same with Máxima). And learning as an adult is more difficult. Silvia still makes mistakes in Swedish. All things considered, Mary is doing well; but people will still poke fun just as they did with Henrik's French accent - accents are very hard to lose for most adult learners. ~Laurel~
DeleteShe looks well put together, but the botox, or filler in the mid face/cheek area is too much, it takes away from her natural beauty. You notice much more when she is speaking. Wish she would age naturally, she is beautiful with out additives.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too, her face looks much rounder than her usual shape. I suspect even the lips have gotten some help... I agree with you, she is naturally beautiful, she doesn't need any of this. I guess all the royal ladies must feel enormous pressure to look younger, thinner, always under the scrutiny of the public . It's a sad state of affairs when women, whether royal or not, have to put themselves through a lot of pain, even taking risks, just to fit in a certain unrealistic mould
DeletePoint is that, unless Caroline of Monaco, Mary, Letizia and Maxima were nice enough looking young women originally but hardly great beauty material. Nothing wrong with that.
DeleteAnd it would have been enough a few decades ago. But nowadays these queens and princesses are in the public eye through social media, fashion blogs and fan accounts every minute of the day. They have been made some sort of stars with the pressure to outshine others. And these days there are countless procedures to mold yourself from pretty to beautiful or to give the illusion of beauty. I never thought Mary more than being nice looking but groomed, dressed and beautified into perfection.
