Princess Gabriella wore a new Dior pale pink polka dot knit long skirt.
Lovely family!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fanily . very regal.
DeleteLovely humanitarian project. Love the clothes, especially the striking 3D necklace
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks divine in her dress. Her haircut emphasises this as well as the great necklace. Very extravagant but she is known for it and I like her courage to be extravagant. She can wear it. Frieda
ReplyDeleteWow.....Charlene rocks.....Fabulous!!!

I wonder whether Charlene's neckpiece is a traditional South African design. Can anyone tell me?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I'm , as always, a fan of the getup. Jacques looks so confident and cute in this picture!

It's Dior.
DeleteNice to see a smile on Charlene's face.
ReplyDeleteThis hairstyle does not work for Gabriella.

I agree.
DeleteYes, where have all Gabriella's lovely curls gone ?

The children are very cute. But nevertheless I think that nobody on this photo looks happy.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely disagree with. Charlene looks beautiful and happy. It doesn't bother me that she doesn't have a "Hollywod" smile on her face. (Hollywod smile is usually very dishonest. ) I don't see any signs of dissatisfaction at anyone. Little Gabrielle has narrowed eyes. As a little girl, I had the same expression in the photo, until it was later discovered that it was because I was short-sighted and needed glasses.
DeleteMy thoughts exactly. The kids apparently don't want to be there, daddy looks detached and mommy has surrendered. - Would love to be a fly on the wall, when the kids ask 'but it was a family photo, so why weren't daddy's other children there, too?' - Ellie
DeleteThey look happy . they look so real in these days, lovely.
DeleteExtremely unlikely that the twins would ask where the other children are. They will understand that this is an official photograph of the Princely Family of which Daddy's other children are not a part. They are part of Daddy's private life.
DeleteI agree. That was my first thought is that the kids don't look happy. They almost always look bored or grimacing in photos I see with them. The parents don't look happy either, but the kids especially don't. Looking at the dates of these comments, January, I wonder if this photo is meant to show, "Hey, don't worry about Charlene shaving part of her head bald. Everything's okay. Look, we're one big happy family!" I think her hair, what we can see of it, looks nice here. But I suspect it is still short and weird in the back. I sure hope she is growing it back out to something normal. I kept seeing articles about how she is "taking back her power" and similar gibberish after the scalping photos came out. When Brittany Spears did something similar, everyone rightly believed something was wrong. Yet, with Charlene, everyone seemed to praise the strange behavior.
DeleteSchön , dass die Fürstin ihre nette Frisur zurück hat :)
ReplyDeleteDer Sessel und Hintergrund erinnert an die unvergessliche und wunderschöne Fürstin Gracia Patricia
ReplyDeleteThe photo was taken in the same room as most official family photos in the 1950's and the 1960's. As part of the historic rooms of the palace the interior (including the furniture) has been preserved nearly unchanged as is the custom in most royal palaces.

Gabriella seems somewhat annoyed or it's her facial feature?, saw a similar expression in some other photos..
ReplyDeletei think its her facial expression. Charlene has the same expression sometimes, as well as Jacques
DeleteMany children of that age go through a stage of not knowing how to smile naturally for photos. It then looks like a grimace.
DeleteSomething not right with this photo. Not sure what, it just looks off. I feel they went for an official looking photo and wanted everyone to be serious and propper but everyone looks like they don't want to be there and dispite the lovely clothes miserable.
ReplyDeleteIn these pictures, Gabriella reminds me very much of Princess Stéphanie.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Princes Stephanie as a child, they do look similar.
DeleteAnonymous @ 12:55, what’s a Hollywood smile? Is it different from the huge smiles of Máxima and Catherine, or the more conservative ones like Mary’s ? They all have studied smiles because they have to, whether they are happy or not, it’s part of their job description .....
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful photo. First, the children are growing up so fast and are so cute. They look so grown up here. Second, Charlene looks magnificent. That necklace is gorgeous. I don't think she has ever looked better, her hair and makeup are perfect.

Agree, my favourite pic in all the time.
