Earlier this week, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a video call to Just 'B' team. Just 'B' team provides mental health support for frontline workers during the pandemic. Just ‘B’ is a counselling and bereavement support line operated by Hospice U.K. During the video call, the Duke and Duchess received information about the activities of Just 'B' and spoke with frontline workers and counsellors about the mental health impact of the COVID-19 crisis for those working on the frontline, and why it is vital that they are able to reach out for support at such a critical time.
Hospice U.K. is a national charity and it launched a helpline called Just 'B' in March 2020. The helpline aims to help frontline workers cope with loss and trauma during the COVID-19 crisis. By means of their Royal Foundation's COVID-19 Response Fund, the Duke and Duchess have partnered with NHS England and NHS Improvement and the Department of Health and Social Care to help fund the helpline.

Smythe Two Button Blazer
They draw attention to the mental health issue, which is great.
ReplyDeleteHairstyle- no no no
ReplyDeleteI disagree - I think she looks fabulous with her hair like this. It's nice to ring the changes from time to time.
DeleteThis is your opinion. My first thought was 'Wow' she looks so beautiful with her hair out of her face. Photo No. 3 is probably one of the best portraits of Catherine I have ever seen.
DeleteHard to say for her since it is a irreproachable classic hairstyle, however I tend to agree because we all know what beautiful hair she has and her usual styling is so attractive.
DeleteKate is not very adept at styling her own hair. If she did this herself, it was not a bad choice. The natural curl is not well controlled when she does her own styling. This way, the focus is on her beautiful face.
DeleteShe is beautiful. I don't criticise her but I don't like her hairstyle. Her her is beautiful in "classic" version. It is only my opinion.
DeletePeut-être que Kate porte ce blazer à deux gros boutons avec un pantalon ? Avec une jupe-crayon, il serait tout à fait à mon goût - Très bien maquillée !
ReplyDeleteObviously Kate is really moved by the conversation. It brings softness to her face.
ReplyDeleteShe looks mature and lovely.
My goodness, she is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteAgree...and I love the hair!
DeleteI love her hair like this in general, because it does not steal the show from her beautiful face, by hiding half of her face. All those bouncy curls etc. are very nice, but there are enough other occasions left for them, it does not have to be a live talk with people who presumably cannot have their hair made just now. (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I like the hair off her face for a change. She has great bone structure which is sometimes hidden with her hair down.
DeleteAgreed. Of course her hair is beautiful but she looks just gorgeous like this. It's a nice change and more relatable.
DeleteShe looks lovely my only quibble is the heavy use of brow powder.
ReplyDeleteHere is a HINT FOR EVERYONE (in case you are not aware of it) because I suspect that she has used it in this meeting.
In ZOOM you can click on the tool circle thing , then on Video and then on "touch up my appearance" Viola ! It is better than night cream and moisturiser.
thanks for the tip. i was wondering why Duchess Kate looked so well polished
DeleteLa preuve des retouches :son grain de beauté au dessus de la bouche,à sa droite à disparu …
DeleteThis is a terrific jacket for formal and less formal events I like it even belter with the black T shirt (could be a dress, I suppose) underneath rather than the polo neck sweater. I like her hair up in this classy style.
ReplyDeleteHer beautician is doing wonders, her face looks smooth, her face looks younger
ReplyDeletebelle, belle, belle comme le jour ! belle, belle, belle comme l'amour !
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing she focused on a very pronounced eye make-up with that hairstyle, otherwise she would just look unnecessarily eldely. When she looks into the camera head-on now, she looks great. I always loved her Smythe-Blazers! Frieda
ReplyDeleteWell said.
DeleteIs her face photoshopped?
ReplyDeleteNo, just soft light.
DeleteNo soft light can eradicate the birthmarks off one's face, especially in such close up. Zoom filters have been used for sure
DeleteE.d'A.
Extremely photoshoped...and why????
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are not photoshopped at all. William and Catherine look the same in the video as in the photos and the video ist definitely not edited, it is simply taken by the camera of their laptop or notebook. The photos are not professionally made. I think they were simply taken by somebody with their phone during the zoom meeting at their house. The pictures are even slightly out of focus, which together with a warm room light - no bright studio light - creates a soft impression.
DeleteBut more important, Catherine shows us in these pictures a different, more private face, her face is more relaxed, whereas her face can get quite tense, when she is on official duties with lots of photographers around. In these pictures she opens her heart, because the topic means a lot to her a she has first hand experiences with mental health issues in her own family. She is in these photos about the realest and rawest and therefore most beautiful I have ever seen her.
Looks like a lot of expert here. Look at the video clip similar to photo itself. We all have good day and bad day skin break out. I think it's good make up and right lighting. But everyone has their own opinion.
DeletePhotoshoped maybe not, but definitely some smoothing filters have been used - Nalerina (up in the thread) has a great tip how to do that in Zoom and it seems to me that the Cambridges took full advantage of that option in this videocall. Otherwise how would you explain the fact that her two famous birthmarks (one above the right-hand corner of her lip and the other one on the left of her chin) have disappeared???
DeleteThe Duchess looks fabulous in this lovely fitted jacket. I love it. She really looks lovely, her makeup is spot on. Her face shows the sincerity and lovely heart that she has, it shines through.
ReplyDeleteI have always liked seeing Catherine with her hair up. I wish she would do that when e.g. her outfit has an interesting neckline or she's wearing a nice brooch or earrings (or when she's working with food for others). ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteCatherine looks so beautiful here, so youthful. Her skin and makeup look gorgeous. I like her hair pulled back, she just looks like a normal person pulling their hair back. Love this blazer. Their home looks so cozy and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteChel
I don’t think is photoshopped is just that they have applied smoothing filters, even William looks like he just had a facelift. Catherine is a good looking woman with a fine bone structure but she does have lines and the natural imperfections that have been erased here, they both looks like dolls.
ReplyDeleteI fully agree
DeleteJe ne ferais jamais confiance à un garçon aussi fragile que le prince William pour des conseils psychologiques
ReplyDeletePrince William is not fragile - quite the opposite.
DeleteAnyway, he isn't setting himself up as a psychologist.
Real fragile people very often troll on sites desperately looking for someone's attention, which you can see even here.
