Queen Maxima paid an online working visit to Radboudumc in Nijmegen on Thursday 28 January. Radboudumc is a university medical center. During the online visit, the Queen spoke with doctors and researchers of the center about scientific innovations in health care and prevention and recovery programs. The Queen also received information about the "Zorg voor Arbeid" (Work and treatment) program. According to that program, patients receive support early in the diagnosis and treatment process.
Natan 2021 Collection
Monies Jewellery Sydney Acrylic and Gold Foil Necklace
I was going to say what a nice outfit this was until I noticed the necklace, lol. Only Maxima could pull this off and I still love her for it. I'd say it was a very good idea to have it partly hidden under the collar - so you know what and how much of it exists, but can only see a bit of it. Cool!

My sentiments exactly!

Stingy hair, outlandish jewelry, what was she thinking?
ReplyDeleteNot much, I guess
DeleteIn the first photo I thought she had a new type of earphone in het ears until I looked closely. OH dear Maxima I love some of your giant earring choices but this goes to far even for me. Natan has still not been dismissed by either queen. When are they going to tumble to the fact that , that dressmaker (I refuse to call them a fashion house) specialises in "unflattering" them a new word invented by me to express my misery at their choices.
ReplyDeleteThis is jewelry from Monies (Danish). I love it, and I have some of it myself, but NOT the giant earrings and the giant necklace together, and combined with a jacket. This really shows her total lack of taste..... always too much of everything, worn on the wrong moment in the wrong place. Agree on Natan as well, horrible fit, unflattering.

I think necklace and earrings are much too small.
ReplyDeleteYou are too right!
Delete:)))
DeleteThe necklace is something else! :) I generally try to avoid the hair debate but think her hair is much better here--it looks thicker and definitely doesn't have the straggly ends that we often see.. As always the best bit is that smile in the first photo. What a star
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hair! Outstanding jewelry!
ReplyDeleteOthers should have such flair!
What is that necklace? (Besides horrible lol) I do like the suit jacket. Her makeup is toned down, much better look than some of the heavier looks lately. Her hair looks more brushed too than usual.
ReplyDeleteChel
whats that growing around her neck!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the see through hair, it time to adapt to a bob hair style, suitable for thinning hair.

Peut-être que Natan a fait un effort pour sa collection 2021 mais il est dommage de ne pas voir l'ensemble porté par Maxima comme le mannequin de la deuxième photo mais sans ce gros collier tout en gardant les boucles d'oreilles !
ReplyDeleteFor me the necklace is a big no! and the suit only so and so, to me it looks dull.
ReplyDeleteFor me the necklace is a big YES! and the suit looks soo chic, to me it looks class.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the blog, Maxima!
DeleteI literally thought then necklace was Christmas baubles!
ReplyDeleteI wasn’t sure what it was around her neck, it looked like little balloons, good thing that a picture is posted below. I can only imagine this necklace working on a woman dressed with a long summery dress, if she has a long, long neck, or for a costume party. Personally I think is gaudy and more so combined with the also enormous earrings. Máxima is fond of large jewelry and some of it is attractive, but this is taking things to another level. The jacket is just forgettable.

We can always expect the unexpected with Queen Maxima. She will never be a wallflower. I love her spunk!
ReplyDeleteNO to the jewelry, hair stringy, suit dull and boring
ReplyDeleteYou have to see this classic jacket on Queen Mathilde I think, to see that it is a really nice classic.
ReplyDeleteMaxima tries to make something else of it and that doesnot do justice to the original style.
I guess I will start with the Monies necklace. That is a statement piece. It is not a bad necklace at all, as long as it is worn correctly, as a stand alone piece. The point of this necklace is to be seen. Tucking all of that hardware into a jacket is missing the point. Statement necklaces are displayed. They rest on top of the dress/top, you wear an open neckline that displays the (entire) necklace properly, or a thin strapped/strapless dress.
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are the size of her ears. They are fighting with her necklace for attention. I can only imagine the pain that her earlobes must have been in after a few hours in those. They be nice for some occasions, but not the best choice of jewelry for working engagements. Her jewelry tends to be distracting.
Maxima has probably purchased a suit, not just the jacket. We only see the jacket, thank goodness. (Let's hope she did not purchase those pants.) I don't find it too bad either. I think she has ruined it with her accessories. I like the houndstooth version much better because it has more interest, where the jacket she has chosen is a bit dull. That is when she runs amok with the accessories. Her hair is much better than the mullet look she just had with the Victoria Beckham dress.
@Anonymous 5:36: Exactly my point, see my earlier comments. I think the earrings are Monies as well. I myself have giant Monies earrings and they are surprisingly light to wear, by the way. But besides that: this is such a horrible mismatch..... and the more so for a business meeting ...... everyone is dressed businesslike, but not madame......She might have put a crown on her head as well. Look at me, I am the most important person in this meeting.....

Oh, Lily, you are getting nastier every time.
ReplyDeleteNot that I disagree with you, I am not a fan of M. either, but I shouldn’t dare to use such very clear words.
To me Maxima looks much better than on other occasions.
ReplyDeleteShe could have done without her giant necklace.
