Princess Laurentien took part in The National Reading Aloud Days
Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands took part in The National Reading Aloud Days on Wednesday morning, January 20. The Princess read aloud a book for the TV program "Zin in Zappelin". The eighteenth edition of The National Reading Aloud Days will take place this year from Wednesday 20 January to Saturday 30 January 2021.
The Princess read aloud The Picture Book of the Year "Coco can do it", written and illustrated by Loes Riphagen to 25 children who were present in the studio via a live connection. The book is about the baby bird Coco who finds it very exciting to spread his wings for the first time. The book has been chosen as The Picture Book of the Year by a committee of Dutch librarians.
The National Reading Aloud Days (Nationale Voorleesdagen) has become a real tradition over the past 15 years in the Netherlands. During the day, politicians, mayors, tv personalities, firemen and others read aloud to the children. The book of choice usually is the Picture Book of the Year.
Very great look, in every detail (the shoes).......mayby a little bit overdressed?!
ReplyDeleteWow, Laurentien did an excellent job of reading a cute story to the children, very expressive. Nice tempered outfit compared to a lot of hers, maybe a bit much for this occasion; and it's too tight across the bust. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteI think she is a lovely lady although I think her outfit should have been a little less fussy. I do think the painted on eyebrows need to be softer. They really are quite hard!
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely in red, great look. Maybe a bit overdressed, but I'm kind of for it. I am usually against not putting arms in the sleeves, but here it works, gives off a teacher/grandma/caregiver vibe, which is perfect for the reading.

Laurentien porte ce rouge avec élégance mais je ne suis pas fan des chaussures ; je préfère largement l'ensemble imprimé plus décontracté de la personne face à elle !
ReplyDeleteA lovely cheerful outfit which I think is just perfect for the bright setting. The children would have seen her as a true princess.
