Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan made a video call to people from Kumamoto Prefecture, which last year was hit by torrential rains that left many people dead or missing. At the beginning of the video call, Kumamoto Governor Ikuo Kabashima gave information to the Emperor and Empress about the extent of damage caused by the rain disaster, which resulted in loss of 65 lives and missing of two people.
Afterwards, the Emperor and Empress watched a video showing afflicted areas soon after the disaster and how they look now, and then spoke with disaster survivors and people who took part in relief activities, including firefighters and police officers. Many people are still unable to return to their home in the prefecture.
Vêtus à l'unisson dans une couleur grise mais Masako porte un sous-pull à petit col roulé dans un ton gris très très clair !
ReplyDeleteI love the Empress's up-do and the soft drape of her sweater and jacket, she looks gentle and feminine, and empathetic.
ReplyDeleteThe pale blue sweater is beautiful in it's color and simplicity.
ReplyDeleteI like this more clean, dressed down look. I always appreciate it when royals look more relatable and this attire feels this way to me. I am especially impressed with Naruhito's turtleneck and jacket. While I'm not sure about the matchy-matchy look, both look terrific.
ReplyDeleteOne could say "his and hers" fashion.
DeleteThe fabric on the chairs is beautiful !!
