On the occasion of Holocaust Memorial Day, The Duchess of Cambridge made a video call to two Holocaust survivors, that is, Zigi Shipper and Manfred Goldberg, and youth ambassadors from the Holocaust Educational Trust. The conversation was about their experiences and memories of the Holocaust. The Duchess had met both men before, when the Duchess and her husband, Prince William, visited Stutthof in 2017. Today, the Duchess also shared photos taken during that visit.

As young boys, Zigi and Manfred both spent time in ghettos and a number of labour and concentration camps, including Stutthof in Poland, where they met for the first time in 1944. Both men has remained friends until today. 65,000 people lost their lives in that camp which imprisoned 110,000 men, women and children.

I have a lump in my throat after watching that. Bless Zigi and Manfred for sharing their stories, and Kate for facilitating the call. The Holocaust Educational Trust is doing phenomenal work. Kate's wardrobe seems very secondary to this. She looks wonderful here. I like her hair straight, but think it could use a good cut. Her sweater is simple and does not distract, so all the attention stays focused on the subject matter. Well done.

Everyone's hair needs a good cut at the moment! Hairdressers in the UK are unlikely to open until April/May so Kate will probably be sitting on her hair by then, unless she can persuade William to give it a trim.

Catherine discusses this highly sensitive topic very humanly and warmly, yet professionally. Very difficult and sad subject. What happend at that time will always be beyond my imagination.....forever, Frieda

  4. An occasion where fashion is so irrelevant that one cannot comment. Thank you for posting this to remind us all of a terrible time in our history.

  5. The Duchess looks great in these photos. As was said recently the straighter hair style really suits her. What a moving video.

  6. Délicieuse dans cette couleur gris-souris mais sa tenue imprimée fleurie déjà portée (haut et jupe) ne convient pas vraiment à une jeune femme de son âge !

The Erdem outfit was aimed at precisely the age group to which the Duchess belongs. She looked very nice in it.
