New photos of Chanel's Brand Ambassador and spokesperson Charlotte Casiraghi to be used for Chanel's 2021 Spring Summer advertising campaign were released. The photos were taken at La Vigie in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin in Monaco. La Vigie is a villa near Roquebrune-Cap-Martin that Karl Lagerfeld had long rented before his death. Karl Lagerfeld was the former creative director of Chanel.
Photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot Charlotte by day and night, in black-and-white and in color, for the Spring Summer 2021 campaign, which was launched in the recent days.

Royal or model?
ReplyDeleteObviously it is both.
DeleteIn this special case: both!
DeleteThe photos are wow, stunning, beautiful, gorgeous...!
Neither one nor the other. Like Frieda (1/8/21, 9:25 pm) I think she is more a celebrity representing a fashion label than a model.
DeleteCharlotte is NOT a "celebrity" she is an aristocrat ...the daughter and granddaughter of princes. She is the niece of a princely Head of State. She is one of several aristocrats who is considered beautiful and stylish enough to model.
DeleteIt's not at all complicated.
She is more than an aristocrat, she is a royal. She is Her Serene Highness Caroline of Monaco, Her Royal Highness the Princess of Hanover. She is the daughter of the late reigning prince Rainier of Monaco who married Grace Kelly, a famous americain actress. That's why she has been a « celebrity » since her birth.
DeleteWhat do you think about DiCaprio girlfriend Camila?
ReplyDeleteI don't know her but I do think DiCaprio is overrated.
DeleteOverrated? Why?
DeleteVery good actor and how handsome.
DeleteAnonymous 6:05, I simply don't find him as goodlooking as the massmedia say. I like for example Brad Pitt much better. Personal taste. I also think that Pitt is a better actor (thinking of "Once upon a time in Hollywood").
DeleteTo me he's attractive and talented. He has a lot of girlfriends.
DeleteCoralie do you know Titanic, The Departed, Wolf of Wall Street? Leo is very flexible.
DeleteAnonymous, I have only watched "Titanic", which I loved - because of Kate Winslet! I thought Di Caprio looked like a teenager then. I admit I don't know the other movies. Perhaps I would change my mind if I saw them? Who knows!
DeleteDear Coralie:)
DeleteHe was 23 at the time of Titanic. Kate Winslet of course was very good at her role. I think you can change your mind about Leo if you try to meet his filmography.
Nice watch and let us know what you think.
Coralie sorry for my question. I ask for curiosity. Where are you from?
DeleteAnonymous 12:42, no need to say sorry, it is a normal question. I am from Germany. I like watching british movies from directors like Ken Loach and Mike Leigh, who both are very popular in Germany, and french movies. I also admire the work of mexican director Alejandro Inarritu - and austrian movies, especially the ones based on the Wolf Haas-Novels ("Jetzt ist schon wieder was passiert...
Delete") The austrian participants here will know, what I mean! Habe die Ehre!
Coralie we are Nachbarin;) and I have family in your country.
DeleteSo shame if you don't like Leo:(
DeleteShe looks absolutely stunning in that deep V (jumpsuit?) outfit. Beautiful.

Pour cette campagne printemps-Eté 2021, je la préfère carrément dans les tenues en couleurs !
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't like the whole photo series as much as I did a few years ago. Her face has changed, looks longer and I see her more as a celebrity representing a fashion label than as a model. Her overall appearance is mediocre in most pictures. Frieda
ReplyDeleteOf course she has been chosen because she is a celeb with a huge ( social media) network of potential clients. A good marketing strategy of Chanel.
DeleteAGREE. THE PICTURES DOESN'T DO HER GRACE.
DeleteShe's nice looking but I really think Chanel could have done better.
ReplyDeleteChapeau for the photographers. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteC'est tout de même dommage qu'elle soit si plate ma beauté, incarnation de sa mère
ReplyDeleteNot charismatic at all, sometimes even the best makeup or most expensive clothes can't help..
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree. She looks grumpy and and unhappy. With such gloomy appearances and lack of charisma she would not be there, if it weren't for her connections. She lacks radiance and glow, and money cannot help it. - Ellie
DeleteAgree. Always has a look as if she is very bored.
DeleteShe definitely has the "It" factor, I like her look best when she smiles.
ReplyDeleteI thought this post was about Charlotte Casiraghi and not Leo!. It is her picture that is featured not Leo's
ReplyDeleteAll Leo girlfriends were/are models.
DeleteTerrible photos, terrible posing, terrible expressions. Not charismatic at all, like somebody said above. What exactly is Charlotte's job at Chanel meant to be? It can't be the job of a model, because she can't model. Why would you want your high brand designer clothes not be represented in the best way possible? I am sorry to say this, but some of the designs that are okay shown by the models look somehow cheap or even tacky worn by Charlotte. Strange!
ReplyDeleteI just have to agree with you. I have always thought her one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. The photo's do not do her justice. and I do not think she does the clothes justice. A model she is not. Being beautiful and having a good figure does not a model make. A good model is like a glorified clothes hanger they can make a paper bag look wonderful. Charlotte just does not have it. Either she is just not tall enough or she has not learned to project her body in such a way to make the clothes she is modelling stand out. The make up is not flattering her either. Beatrice who is not nearly as beautiful does have that "It" factor which often makes her clothes or the jewellery she is modelling look stunning.
DeleteConcerning long term close relationship between CHANEL and Monaco Royal Family, especially designer Karl Lagerfeld, The Brand Ambassador and Spokesperson of CHANEL is the best fit for Charlotte Casiraghi. I wish Charlotte Casiraghi success in her new career.
ReplyDeleteModels can be more professional, but they do not ooze Charlotte's inner class and elegance.
ReplyDeleteLeo most dirty boy in the world.
ReplyDeleteIl n'y a que le tailleur blanc et gansé qui soit ravissant, le reste fait pétasse, et Charlotte fait une mine sombre et arrogante, comme à son habitude, elle se croit sortie des Dieux, grotesquissimo....
ReplyDeleteMARIMAR
I like the white suit; some of the other outfits look a bit tarty. Charlotte is a pretty woman; a bitter sweet situation
ReplyDeleteSo who's gonna be a hypocrite and like her pictures and then dog on Charlene and Meghan when they pose??? - Teri
ReplyDeleteIf we are to agree that royalty needs to‘modernize’ to the 21st Century, then allowing her to be both a Royal AND a model. Not sure that comes to some commentators’ mind. It’s not an ‘OR’, it’s an ‘AND’. That said, I think her choice of Chanel amongst so many brands seems quite appropriate for a royal.
ReplyDeleteLily A
SHES JUST THERE.
ReplyDeleteSorry to say this, but the cardigan in shocking pink with blue or maybe it is black details, resembles the Chanel suit First lady Jacqueline Kennedy wore when her husband president Kennedy, JFK, were assassinated.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I think you should find a picture of that suit. This is not by any wild stretch of the imagination anything like Jaquiline Kenney's suit.
DeleteMaybe my english is not the best. I meant that the pink cardigan with dark trim made me think of/it reminded me of/I associated it with Jacqueline Kennedy’s suit that I perfectly know how it looked like. I referred to the combination of colours not the form of the garment.
DeleteShe is not a model. She is posing as her self. She is the new face and the new Chanel ambassador.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte Casiraghi is a famous europeen royal. But no title.
She is the nine in order as heir to the Monaco throne.
Stunning face, beautiful bone structure and nice figure as well. Really beautiful and blessed , also the fact that she is a philosopher with interesting insights!
