The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the National Gallery
On December 2, 2020, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the National Gallery as it reopened on 2 December following the end of the second lockdown. The Prince of Wales is Patron of the National Gallery, and The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall both toured the ‘Artemisia’ and the ‘Titian: Love Desire Death’ exhibitions. This is the first day of the National Gallery reopening following the UK's second lockdown.
why is the Duchess wearing her school uniform? Ugh! she looked very nice untill she took her coat off.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought as well. The seaming placement is odd. I don't like the seam cutting across her bust. I know there is disagreement about her undergarments, but her breasts are too low. A proper bra would raise them up and help her overall shape. I think we have only begun to see these boots. They were her go-to pair last year, and she is favoring them again this year. They must be very comfortable and warm. I really like the fabric on this coat and the color looks great on her.
DeleteI love Camilla's coat. I would wear that all the time.
ReplyDeleteWhen you reach a certain age, many women prefer comfort over style. Also, we older women sometimes suffer from foot problems due to many years of abuse from high heels. I suspect this is the case with Camilla. Her coat is very pretty. Her "school uniform" fits well and coordinates with her coat and with Prince Charles' suit.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against the boots. I think they are very sensible especially when having to meander around a gallery ones legs and feet can kill. It is her pinafore that bothers me especially as her coat is so attractive an item. I just have very anti feelings to pinafores and school gym like clothes. I do not ever find them attractive.
DeleteSchool uniform ..... no, no, it's the pinafore from her cleaning lady. Just needs the trolly in the background with the cleaning products to set off the scene.
DeleteBrings back fond memories of my dear old mum who used to say "well I'll get my "pini" on now and get stuck into the housework.
DeleteShe'd be overjoyed if she could see the Royal version of a "pini" making it to the National Gallery in London.
This pinafore dress is not bad at all, but what disturbes me is the colour of the blouse. It should have been in a more "ton-sur-ton" colour with the

Great coat and I like the outfit!
ReplyDeleteThe coat is eleganr, but the dress is too much Prince-of-Wales-Style.

Superbe manteau qui cache heureusement cette robe chasuble qui ne flatte vraiment pas Camilla !
ReplyDeleteLike the coat but agree with those who think the blue pinafore and white blouse look like a school uniform, especially with the black boots. Still nice to see them out and about.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Great coat, but the dress isn't her greatest look.

No, this time I don't like Camilla's outfit. I always find black with blue unfavourable in this combination. And the white blouse does not save the whole outfit either. On the contrary...Frieda
ReplyDeletewhat a disaster of a dress and blouse, then add the ugly boots, you have a total disaster.
ReplyDeleteThis dresse & blouse combo is...unfortunate, to say the least. She can do elegance so well, but this is just...I don't know, my five-year-old daughter wears that sort of dress/shirt combinations.
