Princess Stephanie gave an interview on World Aids Day 2020
On World AIDS Day 2020, Princess Stephanie of Monaco gave an interview to Monaco Info. Princess Stephanie is president of Fight Aids Monaco Association. World AIDS Day was designated as December 1 in 1988, and it takes place every year on this date as an international day, which aims to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and to mourn those who have died because of the disease.
I was just leaving the last article about Maxima... and thought "I might refresh my mind here". Honestly I prefer Maxima, in spite of all the criticism about her... than what I see here. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteI recognize that the topic AIDS/HIV is a very serious matter and good on her to spreed light on the cause. However I must react on her appearance since this is a blog of style and fashion, she does seem to have aged considerably the last few years. No makeup, lack of hair coloring and grey coat does not help either.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you Anonymous 1:46 PM .
Delete@"grey coat": you seem to miss the fact that this day is also "to mourn those who have died because of the disease".
Delete@"She seem to have aged considerably the last few years": Yes, this is what happens to all of us in the course of years. Even queens, princesses and minor royal ladies get older, this is a natural process with visible results, though one can try to hide it, the question is, if one wants it. Yes or no - in both cases there will be persons who find it appropriate to criticise it.
It was not criticism, it was a reflection.

DeleteThere's also this thing called sunscreen and healthy living and just plan, taking good care of ones' physical body as well as the mental regardless of the "course of years." You can be all natural ***and** put some effort in to looking good. Just my opinion.
Princess Stephanie looks young and natural.
ReplyDeleteI really like her.
Perhaps a rose-colored lipstick would have emphasized her girlliness even more.
I like her a lot and have a lot of time for her work in this area. But... she is 55 years old and looks much older, not young at all. And that's after the refresher work she had done last year.
DeleteShe looks fragile, and older than her years
ReplyDeleteas usual giving little attention to her looks
I agree completely.
DeleteMessy jacket and blouse/top
ReplyDeleteLooking older than her years, no consideration to makeup, hair, etc.
To me I always thought Princess Stephanie was really pretty during her androgynous stage. Her hair was short yet her make up was very feminine!
ReplyDeleteShe is 55 years old and is looking good, very mauch like her mother.

Sorry, I don' think so.
DeleteI see Princess Stephanie’s interest in fashion a bit like Queen Maxima's.
ReplyDeleteThat is, they are more interested and involved in the work and its object that they are doing rather than trying to win the prize of the day for being the most glamourous Royal in town.
And if I can mention (dear moderator) the work Princess Stephanie has done for AIDS which is impressive. And she never seems to search for any recognition.
If you are interested take a look at just one of the many things she has done in the town of Carpentras, southern France..... no fanfares, no trumpets, just discreet charitable work.

Yes , her work is outstanding and she never looks for fanfares and public exposure.
DeleteI would have liked to see a more appropriate look on this occasion though.

Gosh, she does look quite frail. I think the coat looks very nice, but the colour is doing her no favours. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI just wish she would have put a little effort into her appearance, like making sure the lapels of her coat were laying down. Yes, she has aged, but we all do that. In putting out a public message, wouldn't you want to look your best? (As the serious nature of this message, I understand it doesn't call for a full face of glam. But something?)
ReplyDeleteStephanie's impressive efforts on behalf of her patronages and her physical appearance are separate issues. Stephanie hasn't looked well cared for in several years. I think when I first noticed it, it was skin damage due to too much time in the sun without protection. She would get very dark. Many of us have been guilty of the same thing. So many of us like seeing the whole package--beautiful clothes and a glamorous event--but that is not Stephanie anymore. She has let herself go. I don't think we will know the reason for it, we can only speculate. I am the same age as Stephanie, and she looks considerably older than I do. It is a lack of skincare and sun damage, with no desire to correct the damage. She looks older than Caroline now. She must have decided that fashion is no longer important to her. I think it is rather sad. It doesn't take much effort to put in a good appearance.
ReplyDeleteQuite many commentators seem to have a problem with princess Stephanie, how she looks and how she dresses. I'm pretty sure that she isn't going to change into a fashion icon. Similar problems seem to be concerning also princess Irene of Greece: grey hair and non-fashionable clothing. As those commentators have said "this is a fashion blog". May I suggest that at least Stephanie is dropped away from this blog. It surely gives peace of mind to most fashion addicts.

Wonder if there is a new trend of grey hair catching on this Princely Family ...
ReplyDeleteI can hardly recognize her.
In respect to the comments about Stephanie aging -- since she was young, she has been a heavy smoker and a sun lover. For anyone, these two factors are an accelerator of the aging process.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely true.
DeleteAgreed.
