The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall released their new annual Christmas card photo, which was taken in autumn by a member of staff in the garden of the royals' home, Birkhall in Scotland. The photo shows the couple sitting together on a bench surrounded by colourful flowers. The photo was taken in the garden at Birkhall, Scotland. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will spend Christmas Day at Highgrove House.
The flowers are glorious, and Charles and Camilla look relaxed and happy -- but I think I'd have liked to see the DoCornwall looking just slightly _less_ relaxed 🙄.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to them, regardless. This will be a very different holiday than usual for nearly everyone.
I understand what you mean. ;-)
DeleteI can’t take my eyes off the topiary beside them!
ReplyDeleteThe setting is gorgeous, but I don’t think it’s a flattering photo of either of them. P. Charles is squinting into the sun, and D. Camilla is sitting in a such a awkward pose. Surely there were better photos than this?? (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of this foto either. The stting is great, but the rhombus is an unrelaxed symbol and the black blazer does no favours to the summer-scene.
DeleteIn the end they make a perfect couple. Merry Christmas.

Even though I always like to see the 2 of them, I don't find the photo very christmassy. Frieda
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, beautiful garden.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I thought when I saw this was has Jeff Koons giant Puppy been there and left a calling card? Love these two - not the world's best ever photo! Elle
ReplyDeleteI though I was the only one that was seeing a gigantic poop shaped topiary, and a rather relaxed Camila... don’t they have people that check these pictures before they release them?
ReplyDeleteA happy photograph and a lovely couple!
