On Wednesday, 16 December 2020, Belgian Royal Family, that is, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Crown Princess Elisabeth, Princess Eleonore and Prince Emmanuel attended the yearly Christmas concert at the Royal Palace. Due to the pandemic, the Christmas concert took place without an audience this year. Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eleonore played sax and violin at the concert.
After the concert, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Crown Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Princess Eleonore and Prince Emmanuel posed for the traditional Christmas family photo in the Throne Room at the Royal Palace in Brussels. The concert will be broadcasted from Sunday 20 December 2020 at different hours on different TV channels. Queen Mathilde wore a new floral long sleeve velvet dress from Dries Van Noten.
Beautiful indeed, Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely family! Princess Elisabeth is a true beauty!

Indeed!
DeleteElisabeth looks great! I also like Mathildes dress!
ReplyDeleteAlways very stylish.
ReplyDeleteDries van Noten is for me the best of fashion designers.
I think they all look great. That stunning background and beautiful Christmas tree certainly doesn't hurt :). CP Elizabeth has grown into a lovely young woman. Love Mathilde's dress.

Beautiful! A very lovely family.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I guess Elisabeth must be pleased to dress again sometimes like princess, instead of the army outfit...
ReplyDeleteThese dresses make Mathilde unnecessarily older. They remind me of my grandmother's night robe. As for Elisabeth - a large pattern over the entire surface of the dress is always a big risk, because it resembles luxurious curtains on the windows. She is beautiful, she should try something romantic.
ReplyDeleteMen - great. A quality suit will never disappoint. Very sympatic nice family.
Mathilde wears this dress beautifully, such dresses are trendy, difficult to escape from them occasionally. I wonder actually why Elisabeth went for a long dress. To me she looks a bit tired. Congrats to Eleanor and Emmanuel for their performance.
DeleteThey all look splendid, but I would have preferred a stronger, seasonal color on Elisabeth to coordinate with the rest of the family, her dress is too summery for a Christmas photo.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Eleonore!
ReplyDeleteWonderful family photo!
ReplyDeleteAs for Q Mathilde's dress...
I want this dress! Gorg colours, lux fabric, flattering, comfortable. Very nice addition to any collection of ensembles. Perfect, just perfect.

All so very elegant and lovely. Fan of Dries van Nooten. He is one of the few designers who adresses climate change, which is so important in fashion industry. The only thing I really dislike is the skin coloured pantyhose of Eleonore. Horrible. Why not a nice black or darkblue maillot.
ReplyDeleteMaybe bare legs on Eleonore? She is inside, so warmth wouldn't be an issue. The pantyhose do look terrible.
DeleteMon Dieu cette robe de Mathilde! et même Elisabeth n'a pas une jolie robe.
ReplyDeleteoui bon, ils sont sympas mais tout de même pas élégants;
Would be nice to hear them playing. :-)
ReplyDelete-B.
The family look lovely; very Christmassy. The children are talented, as lots of young children are. Mathilde's dress looks lovely. Merry Christmas to the family
ReplyDeleteFor me it is an old fashion picture.
