The Prince of Wales celebrated his 72nd birthday today
The Prince of Wales celebrated his 72nd birthday today, on November 14, 2020. The Prince of Wales is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He was born at Buckingham Palace on November 14, 1948. On the occasion of the birthday, Queen Elizabeth shared two throwback photos on Twitter, one of which is a formal photo of Charles as a baby, and the other showing mother and son laughing together at the Braemar Gathering in 2016.
In addition, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sent their birthday wishes by posting a photo of a smiling Charles on their official Instagram and Twitter accounts. Their caption on Twitter was as the following: "Wishing a very Happy Birthday to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales!"
These are are very nice fun pics of Prince Charles! Love the first in his Scottish finest. You know the Cambridge one must have a fun inside story to it. Happy Bday.

As odd as it sounds - I can still see the same features he had as a toddler!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, he looks better and better with age..!
I guess that says much about the effort he's made to become the person he is now.

Nia @ Anonymous 8:09 11/14 , I think you are absolutely spot on. When you compare pictures of P.Charles, as a baby , those of P.William and his sons, I think we are looking at the Teck family resemblance via HM Queen Mary's family. What do you think?
DeleteHappy Birthday Prince Charles.
ReplyDeleteNice to see what quality English tailoring and fabrics look like.
Happy Birthday! Lovely pictures!

Happy birthday, Your Royal Highness. Always cheering to see a man in a kilt. :)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes on your 72nd Birthday
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday prince Charles. Love his very important work :
ReplyDelete" avant la lettre " he was already busy with sustainability in every respect.
He wears a kilt so well. I think it’s better on him than many of his suits! (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI agree; Prince Charles has always looked wonderful in a kilt — he has the legs for it (not visible here ☹️), and wears the whole look with great ease and panache.
DeleteHappy Birthday

Wishing a very happy birthday to HRH the Prince of Wales. I absolutely love the pictures where he is in full laughter!

In the last photo; The suit looks as old as he. For having substantial income, he could afford something new, well tailored and up to date.
ReplyDeleteHardly sustainable though income notwithstanding.
DeleteThe fact that you go straight for a photo where you can apparently tell from a head and shoulders shot that the suit is old and say nothing about the others speaks volumes. Or can you not make the same point about them?
The beige jacket is lightweight fabric and shoudn't be worn with such many heavy medals. That's the problem. The fabric is not strong enough for them. Have another look and you notice that the jacket actually is well tailored, even though it has been much used.
DeleteI recently read an interview where Charles discussed about clothing. One of the things was that he still uses suits which can be even 20 years old. Just like princess Anne, using and reusing. There is no need for a person of 70 years or more to dress according to the latest trends - even though he's future king.

Happy birth to HRH The Prince of Wales. I respect him more with each passing year and wish him many more birthdays!
ReplyDeleteJ'adore voir les photos quand il éclate de rire surtout en compagnie de la reine ; j'aurais aimé être une petite souris afin de savoir la raison ?! J'aime bien quand il porte le kilt !
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Your Royal Highness! I just finished reading your book "Harmony"
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiration you've been over those past decades with your search for better ways how to safe our environment and human skills for the future generations. Your efforts have saved many a talent. Best Wishes and many many happy returns!
What a bonny baby; and here 72 years later still laughing. Prince Charles has done more for this planet and society than the average. May he have many more happy years.
