The Countess of Wessex joined volunteers of the Lighthouse
On November 26, The Countess of Wessex visited the Lighthouse in Woking. There, the Countess helped to prepare food and care packages for those in need this Christmas. The Countess spent time assembling bags of Comfort and Cheer, which will go to people who will be alone on Christmas Day. She also helped with creating bespoke gift parcels for children, for whom these might be their only gifts. The Lighthouse aim to support families in financial need who have pre-school children. The Charity Foundation provide good quality pre-owned clothing, toys, and equipment to those that need it.
Cool, casual Countess! Sophie looks like she's having a great time on this engagement. Sweater, jeans, boots, hairstyle, a very mod ensemble. Well done!

Countess Sophie looks great while helping a great cause! Well done to my favorite Countess in the BRF!

Nice relaxed look. It fits well with the twinkle lights and for the occasion. Not sure about the face shields. I hear they are okay for protecting ocular mucosa membranes but not recommended for oral or nasal mucosal membrane protection. I think the literature says mask are more effective for the latter. Not saying this to nitpick but rather because I'm genuinely concerned for the Countess and the other staff at the event.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct about the face shield. They should be paired with masks. It is troubling that there is still a disconnect there. It sends the wrong message.
DeleteBut you wear a mask to.protect others not yourself. And this is better than wearing nothing. To be honest they are all standing far enough away from each other and they can still see each other's faces for conversation.
Delete@9:36 Your information about wearing masks is not true. Masks protect both the person wearing the mask and others. You have no way of knowing that they were at a safe distance throughout her visit. We are seeing just a few pictures that they made sure to keep a safe distance in.
DeleteMy information about mask wearing is perfectly true.
DeleteI stand by my statement that it is better than nothing.
The beauty of the Countess of Wessex is that she gives off the impression that I am like you.....The oversized sweater gives off that image perfectly!
ReplyDeleteSophie looks relaxed, invested and engaged. Love her camel sweater. It looks so comfortable and cozy- perfect for the engagement. I like her boots. Her hair looks great down.

Classic colour combination: Camel on grey, in modern casual outfit: well done!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful, but she and Maxima seem to be having some difficulty in the bra area...
ReplyDeleteI agree. You can add Camilla to the list of royals that need better bras.
DeleteI love how Sophie can blend in with her style, she looks as fantastic in a sweater and jeans as she does a fancy dress. Some people try too hard with their casual dress, but she gets it right. That sweater looks so cozy.

Appropriate but unexciting outfit. Sophie always looks good at these events. Nice to see her face behind the visor :)
