  1. I usually give Max a pass on her hair because I love her style and her personality. But even I have to say that she is definitely having a bad hair day. The razored-uneven-ends look is ageing her, I think it's time she give this up and find a smoother, more groomed looking hair style. Contrary to other commentators I believe this style takes work and is intentional, I'm guessing based on her stylist's advice because I think Max has fine hair and is trying to build volume into her hair style. We're all getting older, Max - time to move on.

    2. I, too, don't comment on Maxima's hair unless there is something noteworthy to mention. The point you make about the uneven ends is valid. I have a personal aversion to the ends like this. I am a firm believer in keeping a neat, straight trim. Even if the hair is no healthier, it does give the allusion of thicker, healthier hair. Leaving the unhealthy ends there, whether the hair is well cared for or not, makes the hair look neglected. When it is in the condition Maxima's hair is in, the ends will continue to break off and the damage will rise up the shaft. A few inches off the ends would make a world of difference.
I also like your point about this style being deliberate. It is very possible. We do see sectioning in the second picture. I do wonder why a stylist would allow her hair to be subjected to further damage, however. I lean toward this being a tip seen in a magazine or the internet. For a long time, I have wondered why her daughters haven't intervened. This is the kind of thing daughters love to get into.

  2. The heavy eye make-up does her no favours....... gives her a tired look. The yellow suit has a nice colour. The coat, on the other hand, has the wellknown Natan signature: awful fit.

  3. Not a fan of mustard yellow in general but the perfect colour to wear below the coat. Without the coat, I would prefer a black contrast blouse with the trousers or vice versa. While the coat is unstructured, it looks to me like a great cosy winter garment to throw on with anything.

  4. Whoa, too much mustard yellow for me. I like the coat even though its kind of like something your granny used to wear.

  5. Cette couleur moutarde va à merveille sous ce manteau Tartan ; belle broche que je trouve trop imposante en plissant le haut - J'aimerais bien voir ses cheveux fins avec un joli carré dégradé qui donnerait plus de volume !

  6. The coat looks warm and very nice, but all that mustard is just too much. Her shoes are the perfect color with the coat. Her hair is the same bad look.

  8. Sometimes she has really interesting clothes, but the impression is always spoiled by her untidy hair. In the photo, where she wears a blue mask, her hair looks as if she has not been combing for three days.

Oh my, I really can' t understand why she makes such fashion choices.
Too much yellow mustard, one piece only would have been enough.
I would have created more contrast , i.e. mustard blouse and black trousers.
The coat looks like a blanket I.M.O.
She could have some pity for her own hair, she is a Queen after all!

  10. I just don't understand. She is such an intelligent woman, and yet she can't master fashion. Way too much mustard, just overwhelming. Either the sweater or the pants with a darker color would have been great. The blanket coat is fine, if maybe a tad bit too big. But a fresh, updated makeup look and hairstyle would make all the difference.

  11. Who cares if she's wearing "too much mustard." She's comfortable and confident.

Well, it may matter on a fashion blog and given Maxima' s overall look, not her best one ever in every respect.
Confidence can' t always be enough for a Queen.

  13. Ugly mustard outfit; coat looks like a blanket for a horse, and the hair looks as if she has been rolling in the hay playing, not about to go out in public that way.
