Queen Maxima announced winners of the King Willem I Prize 2020
On Wednesday evening, November 25, Queen Maxima announced winners of the King Willem I Prize in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. The King Willem I Foundation was established in 1958 on the initiative of De Nederlandsche Bank by a number of organizations associated with the business community.
The objective of the Foundation is to give new impulses to the national economy and thus to increase the reputation of the Dutch business community. Representatives of all nominated companies were present at the award ceremony. The winners of King Willem I Prize 2020 were CSU Total Care BV, Von Gahlen Nederland B.V. and Gulpener (Gulpener Bierbrouwerij BV).
Oh, my gosh, is there a revolution going on in there?
ReplyDeleteMaxima is glamorous from head to toe!
Exquisite outfit.
I would have preferred trousers with more tapered legs, but I am so glad to see that much headway has been done so far.
Can´t agree more, the Queen is looking wowh. Love this outfit and the necklace, beautiful and as well the cut of the blouse and the shoes and
Deleteall in all this is a flattering outfit.
But isn't that the bow that was on the top of the Royal christmas tree last year?
Delete@ Deadeggs
DeleteYou are super, as always!!
Do you mean we used black bows for our Christmas trees last year?
Weren't they red?
@Deadeggs
DeleteOh, sorry , you mean the Royal tree...
I can' t rememember...
In this case, yes, maybe Natan recycled it in Maxima' s outfit!!

DeleteYes, I find her marvellous!
I have read somewhere that she was wearing open toe shoes on this occasion , but I cannot see them.
They look like pointed black décolletés,
don't they?
* has been made so far.
ReplyDeleteIf ever there was an unflattering outfit....

Not flattering for her unfortunately, particularly not the bow.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately this jumpsuit, while being trendy, is not for Maxima's body shape. I am not body shaming her, it is just that we all come in various shapes and sizes and not all clothes suit everyone equally. In this outfit she looks extremely short-waisted (the exaggerated bow only makes it worse) and much heavier on the hip area than she really is. She looks her best in fitted sheath dresses because she has a hour-glass shape that suits perfectly that simple cut. A big NO no from me today. Hair and makup are quite nice

Looking great until I saw the large bow around the waist! However, she gets big points for not wearing the cutoff pants shown on the model.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really beautifull jumpsuit.
ReplyDeleteAlas, the barber seems to come only once a week and that was yesterday, Ans the open toe shoes are also “from yesterday”.
Sounds like "yesterday" was a busy day for our dear Queen Maxima.
DeleteIf Máxima's selection of clothing would be based on the principle "less is more" like this black and white ensemble, she would be so much more elegant and stylish. Well done!
ReplyDeleteRavissante!
ReplyDeleteWow! She looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteWell, its a tale of two halves. By morning, looking the best she has for a while. By night, spoiling an outfit with a huge bow.
ReplyDeleteShe has put color on her hair, but it's still 'straggly' on the ends which makes it look messy, or maybe they are hair extensions, I don't know. The outfit is horrid, not a good look on her, especially with that huge bow.
ReplyDeleteFabulous outfit... including the bow!
ReplyDeleteQueen Máxima has impecable fashion sense! Perhaps the “green eyed monster” prevents some from seeing it
ReplyDeleteSylvie, why stir emotions by saying some whose opnion is the bow and out fit do not fit the woman, call it the 'green eyed monster'? Its an opinon, this is a blog on fashion, not on personalities.
DeleteI cannot read Sylvi’s comment otherwise than sarcasm
DeleteI think this special bow solution is not flattering for anyone. Just look at the model, she is thin, it does not make it better. A bow does not make an outfit ... it is a magnet on this outfit, so this is a magnificent bow as bows go ... but it ruins the whole outfit. I love Máxima for her daring approach. (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteThere is just too much going on around her waist and hips. She should be detracting from those areas, not drawing attention to them. The pant portion of the jumpsuit is too baggy and looks sloppy. It also adds weight to her hips. The giant bow adds to the size of her waist, which is barely there as it is. The fabric is a wrinkled mess. A designer should be able to choose a better fabric. How does Natan continue to get clients with clothing like this? The classic black and white combination is a nice idea, but fails in its execution.
ReplyDeleteThat bow at her waist is not flattering at all and looks like it should be on a young girl's dress. If that had been left off, the outfit would have been streamlined and nice. Her hair looks like a tale of two styles, one side done and the other side a mess. Her makeup looks nice however. Beautiful necklace, classic and classy (a departure from her more outlandish jewelry pieces).

@ Sylvie, so you believe that you are in possession of the truth and whoever thinks differently is the green monster... really what’s wrong with you?

The bow is ridiculous and it spoils the whole outfit, also the lack of a good brassiere or the absence of one completely ruines the look . Pity this could have worked , but she had this inclination to oversize, and over accessorize, elegance and good fashion sense eludes her once again .
