Yesterday, Queen Mathilde read out a book online for the children of Zonnedorp Primary School in Aarschot. The school applies GO! Education program educating in Flemish, which is the official education program organized by the Flemish Community. The Queen does this every year on the occasion of Reading Aloud Week.
Every year, Reading Aloud Week is being held from November 16 to 24. Due to the corona measures, the reading was done remotely this time and the children from a class at Zonnedorp Primary School only saw the Queen on a screen. The organizers of the Reading Aloud Week especially want to encourage parents to read aloud.
