Emporio Armani Ruffled Dress
King Felipe and Queen Letizia presented 'Francisco Cerecedo' Journalism Award
On November 18, 2020, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the 37th "Francisco Cerecedo" Journalism Award ceremony at Prado National Museum. The award is given by the Association of European Journalists. This year, director and presenter of Noticias 2 of Antena 3, Vicente Vallés became the awardee of "Francisco Cerecedo" Journalism Award.
The jury agreed to grant him the award in recognition of the rigor, independence and depth with which he has been carrying out his work in the television medium during the last decades.
"Francisco Cerecedo" Journalism Award is awarded every year with the sponsorship of BBVA by a jury created by the Association of European Journalists. Queen Letizia wore a black midi dress from Emporio Armani.
This high slit is utterly inappropriate.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure it really is a high split but a wrap dress that slid open by accident. However I love it I think it is fun and a bit naughty to shake up the establishment way of thinking. This beautiful totally unadorned very elegant appearance and then boom a sudden slit which dissapeared as soon as she stood still.
DeleteAgree!
DeleteI agree with Nalerina. I don't think it's a slit but a slight fashion mishap. We all have them. That said Letizia has great legs and I see nothing wrong with her showing them off if she chooses. Hair and make-up look great.
DeleteE.B.B.
Nalerina, I don't think this dress is a wrap dress, I think the design of the slit is intentional. But I do agree that I appreciate it as a feature. Nice of Queen Letizia to mix it up. She's forty-eight, not ninety-three. She also has lovely legs so why not?
DeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is terrible!
ReplyDeleteHow?

Absolutely gorgeous. Letizia confirms her place as the most stylish royal in a fabulous Armani dress needing no distracting jewellery other than hoop earings.
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous. As for some thinking a beautiful woman can't wear a wrap dress and show some of her leg in this day and age is literally laughable. There is nothing inappropriate about her look. She isn't showing any inappropriate body parts, or wearing anything vulgar.

Toatally agree!!
DeleteAgree with Chel
DeleteSuch a simple dress that does wonders for the figure! I love it! I love the little peek-a-boo from the opening. It is not a secret that she has legs. There is no need to clutch your pearls. Nothing inappropriate showed. I wish it did not need to be repeated so often -- we are not living in the 1950s anymore. She is a modern woman, a modern queen, and enjoys reserved-modern fashion. I really enjoy her wardrobe choices.
ReplyDeleteWow! She looks fabulous! The slit is risqué but tasteful.
ReplyDeleteThe slit wouldn't be so bad if she had been wearing dark pantyhose. It looks like that slit could go even higher. I hope no sitting was involved here. Not an appropriate look for the occasion, although maybe okay for a night on the town. ~Laurel~
Agree!
DeleteIt is a repeit, she wore it in 2018 for a Princess of Asturias Awards concert. She is is repeiting clothes non stop.l
ReplyDeleteQueen Sofia used to wear edgier clothes than Letizia, especially decolletages, as Juan Carlos' grandmother,(Victoria Eugenia de Battenberg), even whe she was old. Queens are not nuns, you only need to see paintings.
ReplyDeleteActually they were known by their "lively" life, not because because their restraint, due to that some were abolished.
Superbe clutch/pochette !
ReplyDeleteHave you looked closely? The slit is all photoshopped! Queen's suntan doesn't go smoothly into a flat white. Think.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why its hard to believe that Queen Letizia chose to wear this dress and show some leg rather than postulate that image has been photoshopped...
DeleteAgree, Anna. It is not photoshopped. So many conspiracies...
So well said!
DeleteA great "little black dress!" The slit is not a big deal to me. She has shown more of her legs when wearing shorts. This wasn't a funeral, but an awards ceremony. I find this dress quite chic and totally appropriate for this occasion.

ReplyDeleteThis is a nice dress, but it needs a bit of Jazz to spice things up a bit, very bland.
