With a video message, The Duchess of Cambridge thanked everyone who participated in the survey '5 Big Questions'. In the video, The Duchess said: "Thank you so much to everyone who submitted a question on the early years throughout the week. We’ve seen such an incredible response, touching on so many different aspects of the early years. This is just the start of the conversation, and we look forward to continuing it in the months and years ahead."
The Duchess shared findings of the survey with a series of videos and updates. The Duchess has been the driving force behind a new early years report which features a number of studies, conducted by Ipsos MORI, including the Royal Foundation’s “five big questions on the under-fives” survey. More than half-a-million people participated in the survey, which is the largest-ever response to a survey of its kind.
Duchess of Cambridge Question and Answer on Early Years
The survey was commissioned by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and conducted by Ipsos MORI. It aims to reveal what people of the UK think about their early years. The Duchess wore a purple pussy-bow silk crepe blouse from Gucci.

Maria I agree that bow is too mumsy for words. I do not think this lavender near purple suits her one bit. I thought exactly the same thing when she wore a purple dress a few years ago on a Canada visit. It was a beautiful dress and one of my most favourite colours but not on her. I do not know if she has been taking some sort of advice or help recently about clothes or make up and hair colour. I do not think this lavender near purple suits her one bit. That said, the pale lilac Emily Wickstead dress she wore on a vist to Germany was perfection.
I do not know if she has been taking some sort of advice or help recently about clothes or make up and hair colour but I think she does not look good at all in the last few months. She looks aged and tired. Her eyebrows are far too heavily made up and her hair colour is all wrong. her natural colour is much darker and it suits her far better. Those things made for her by the house of Alexander McQueen do always look good on her but somehow what she has been wearing in the last year just strike me as not being her true self coming out and I find that a pity. She looked so lovely in what was clearly her own style before she married and just after that I can't help feeling it is such a pity for her to lose that personal identity of style to something else.
nalerina, I disagree with you. In my opinion, Kate has the most beautiful hair of all the royals from all countries. I really envy her hair. Beautiful makeup, but above all a dignified representation of the country and the royal family .
Sorry, I think I was misunderstood. I was being a bit ironical, given the fact that bows are so trendy, but they are usually "scolded" on this site... Catherine is looking marvellous in every respect. The Gucci piece is exquisite.
I agree with Maria, I think this blouse is lovely, even for her. Her hair is fine, of course she is playing with the color, she is no longer 20, but lovely. She is from time to time allowed to look a bit tired. Looking always perfect is quite a job, maybe also for her.
It is not a gossip blog, at least not in my case. Are you interested in their foundation? They do a lot for children in the UK. William ans Catherine of Cambridge do an amasing job. Are you too looking for a celeb british guy?
This is a fashion blog, and it is best to try and keep it as close to fashion as possible. Other topics come up in the course of the conversation at times, but posing questions about Kate's uncles or cousins, or what type of phone she has are off topic. You can use Google for those inquiries.
I am impressed by her ability to give spontaneous, in depth answers about this very important initiative. I hope that it is adopted by other countries. Fashion-wise, I think the color of the blouse is very pretty and her hair and make-up are superb.
Me too! She must have done a great deal of work on the subject beforehand in order to give such a well-founded answer. She is doing a great job. Frieda
Agree with the lovely colour and style of the blouse but especially with the view that this is a far more spontaneous and less stilted public performance than we have seen on previous occasions. She does genuinely sound engaged in this worthwhile cause.
I liked this blouse on her the first time she wore it and still like it. The color is rich and looks wonderful on her. Wearing her hair down, in a youthful way, makes such a difference. I also think it works so well because she does hot have a wardrobe of pussy bow blouses like Victoria does. Wearing it alone, without a jacket, also changes the vibe. It is more playful than conservative this way.
Isn't this the blouse that she "swapped" the first time she wore it, I mean wearing the buttons in the front? A beautiful colour and I like a well-made bow independently from the age of the wearer. Bow blouses are simply part of a classic wardrobe, time and again the become fashionable, which was the case in the last maybe two? years. (-Ann.)
Love her sense of humor and spontaneity. You can tell she read up and has a passion in this project. Her hair is an envy and love that blouse. She's very cameragenic and photogenic...
She can talk much more naturally when she is alone, without live audience, than in front of a lot of people at public occasions. For me this is highly understandable. (-Ann.)

ReplyDeleteI agree 100%. This is one of the most spontaneous videos I've seen of her. I hope she does this more often.
DeleteAgree.

Absolutely agreed! You can tell she has put so much work into this. As for the blouse, love the purple.

ReplyDeleteAh! Ha! another pussy bow hater.(I admit I used Google Translate) I have no idea why I dislike them so much it seems silly but I just do.

ReplyDeleteLooks lovely here - love the blouse. The colour and the fabric are beautiful. She seems really engaged and enjoying herself with this project.
ReplyDeleteSeveral reversible bowed blouses lately. Even so, the view with the buttons down the back just doesn't look right. ~Laurel~
