Today, the Foundation is chaired by Princess of Hanover and the aim of the Foundation is to promote contemporary art.
Each princess has her own style, but I am not fan of any of the dresses.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Caroline’s dress looks kind of weird from far, with the colors so low. And Charlottes dress is too plain.

DeleteCaroline looks great as usual. Charlotte's dress is a little too much "little house on the prairie" but otherwise she looks cute.
ReplyDeleteBoth mom and daughter look chic and in a good shape.
ReplyDeleteWhy do we dare to comment? as someone asked not long ago on one of these pages.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see these ladies I know the answer: because they wear dresses I never could afford to buy.
I donot envy them, I am content, but I like to admire them, as I do these two:
Lovely dresses for both beautiful mother and daughter!
I think it is always good to leave frustrations aside, and keep going "business as usual". The purpose of the blog is to comment even if from time to time there is a bit of exaggeration.
Delete

Charlotte: A good example of "Happiness cannot be bought with money."
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be harsh but she looks like her own grandma and terribly bored.
She could make so much out of her natural beauty and wonderful body ...
Princess Caroline looks so pretty in her elegant dress. What do you expect when your mother was Princess Grace.....good genes!
ReplyDeleteAnon. 8.37 PM: Absolutely right :)
DeleteStarting with the positives, I like the shoes of both ladies. I NEARLY like both dresses. I know long loose floral dresses have been in style for the summer but Charlotte’s needs more definition to stop it appearing sack like. If the pattern on Caroline’s dress started at the waist and it was therefore a few inches shorter, it would be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Charlotte dress look a bit to how do I put this nicely with love to old for her. She so beautiful and beautiful body. Think if you pay so much for clothes get something that compliment your body. Caroline beautiful as ever
DeleteSuch a beautiful dress on Caroline! I wonder who is the designer.
ReplyDeleteNot to fan of Pss Caroline's shoes.
ReplyDeletePrincess Charlotte is looking very beautiful today.

I actually like Caroline's dress, the drop waist effect is flattering. The bright bottom is fun and adds interest. Plus, her hair and makeup look beautiful. As for Charlotte, I don't think this is her best look, but not her worst. I do wish her waist was cinched a little bit, that would help. The color of her dress is a little drab for me, but her hair and makeup are gorgeous.

Not a fan of either dresses.
ReplyDeleteI think my main objection to both choices is the length. I find that just below mid calf length really ugly and very unflattering on almost anyone. After all both ladies actually have very attractive legs and in these photo's they look like artificial models legs in shop windows. Especially Carolines dress it would have looked much better if it ended just above her shoes. I think that applies to Charlotte's dress as well. Charlotte's shoes should be donated never to grace this blog again. I am sorry but I think that Charlotte (especially with the coat on) looks like she picked it all up at the local recycle shop and it is all a size too big.
ReplyDeleteCertain dresses do not look good in photos even when seen "live" they look nice. Lightweight soft fabrics with small pattern (print) are often the most difficult. That is the case with Charlotte's dress.
ReplyDeleteBut, it's an award ceremony. The princesses are there to give the awards. The winners are important, they should be the centre of attention. I can quite well understand the choice of dark colours for the occasion: to give more "visibility" to the winners. Naturally that doesn't show here as this is a fashion blog.
By the way, I think Caroline is wearing Grace's yellow gold necklace of small leaves. It shows better in photos on another site.

Princess Caroline looks stunning. I adore her frock. Totally suits her style. I like Charlotte's contrasting dress. Both ladies look lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like both of these dresses, but agree with others that they are a bit too long. I think that P. Caroline’s might have benefitted from a simple leather belt too, which would define the waistline. She certainly is an elegant woman though, and her daughter shows the same poise. (V.M.)
