On October 13, 2020, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands received a small group involved in the "Debt Free Netherlands"(Naar een schuldenzorgvrij Nederland) pact at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. The SchuldenlabNL Foundation is a joint venture between public and private parties and its goal is to make the people of the Netherlands debt-free. At the Foundation, public and private parties work together to promote national and locally successful projects on solutions for problematic debts.
Bottega Veneta Natural Ruffled Wool Crepe Dress
They both look very tired. I hope they don't have any trouble.
ReplyDeleteI do not like the colour of the dress and the material neither because it is so crumpy.
The Covid19 is really hitting the Netherlands right now. They must be very worried.
DeleteDuring the August photo shoot the king said "Fake news" regarding Covid and had a good laugh about it. Amalia was not impressed. There's a short video. I wonder what he thinks now. ~Laurel~
DeleteToo tight, unflattering colour, unkempt hair....

Yes, just too much of all the wrong things.

Colour of dress is a bit bleurgh! If the dress was the colour of the mask it would look better.
ReplyDeleteThose hip flaps are not flattering.
ReplyDeleteAgree and they don't fit Qn Maxima.
DeleteAgree too, makes her look bigger than she is
DeleteI think Queen Maxima is a beautiful person, inside and out, but until she does something with her hair it's hard to see beyond that. She is still one of my favorite royals.
ReplyDeleteI like Maxima’s earrings. The wrinkles are distracting and the fit is off. I don’t mind the color but we’re used to seeing Maxima in more vibrant colors. I could see Letizia or Meghan wearing this dress.

At least you found something to like. Thank goodnees I did not even see the earrings to save the day.
DeleteNo one has yet had the courage to call it awful. I am. I do not like the fish fins around the hips, the colour is meh, it is also too tight. It is crinkling and crumpling around the waist. It has short sleeves which is totally silly in the present weather unless she is going through the menopause. We do not overheat buildings in the Netherlands so she does not have that excuse for the choice. OH Maxima run home and change into that stupendous purple/royal blue dress of a few days ago. That is what we want to see.
It would be a nice dress without the random pelmet thing - and one size bigger.
ReplyDeleteDress far too tight and the hair is a mess.
ReplyDeleteYes, Veerle - the couturiers who dress royals and other famous women must be horrified when these clients of theirs wear dresses in inappropriately smaller sizes that do not flatter themselves or the fashion houses that created the clothes. Bad all around.
DeleteDon't be ashamed. Wear a size that fits your figure and you'll look 100x better (and your clothes won't have those telling horizontal pull lines).

Certainement un beau modèle mais les rabats à volants sur les hanches ne flattent pas vraiment Maxima ; avec un petit décolleté en V et dans une couleur plus lumineuse, elle aurait plus d'allure !
ReplyDeleteOn the model it is a lovely dress: it needs more space around the body to see its lines, and it needs to be longer.
ReplyDeleteAs for the rest: no comment needed.
I think the dress is beautiful as well as the high heels and the earrings. Both the king and the queen look lovely and relaxed . I would like to see Maxima in a new hair cut .

ReplyDeleteI do like her choice of earrings but not her hair. If you go back to the event on October 9th you can see she had a beautiful luxurious wig on and it was longer than her hair and much fuller. It was the best she looked in a long time!!!
ReplyDeleteShe really wasn't wearing a wig. Extensions possibly but it wasnt a wig.
DeleteThat was not a wig, if you look at all the pictures of October 9th, you'll see that her hair wasn't really longer. It just looked fuller because it was advantageously combed, curled and blow-dried.
