Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel met with the expert youth council
On October 7, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel met with members of the expert youth council of the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation at the Royal Palace. The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation supports organizations that work to promote good health and fight against exclusion among children and young people.
To ensure that the projects supported by the foundation effectively improve health and community, the foundation has an expert youth council. The members of the council act as advisors, and assess and prioritize between the applications. Crown Princess Victoria wore a pink-coral blazer from By Malina.
My pet hate. Narrow shorter length trousers and high heeled shoes. Those trousers are really awful and fit her athletc shape badly. I really loved that jacket when she wore it with its matching trousers. It was an awful lot of pink tarten like fabric in one go but I thought it looked smashing even if all the pattern did not really come together properly in haute couture excellence in its construction.
ReplyDeleteGood colour for V., and nice combination.
ReplyDeleteCe blazer de couleur rose-corail à carreaux déjà porté lui va à merveille surtout avec ce pantalon près du corps ainsi que ces petits talons !
ReplyDeleteI like the combination of the pink jacket with the "narrow shorter length trousers and high heeled shoes"; they are trendy and nice for ladies with thin ankles.
ReplyDeleteI like this look too, I think it is young, fresh and fun!

I agree. I would have liked to see her button up the jacket for the photo - like her husband. It would make for a more flattering silhouette.
DeleteGlad that she didn't wear it as suit! But the outfit could have been further improved if worn with a simple plain black top to give a plain canvas (top+trousers) as a counterweight to the loud and busy jacket. That's how I would wear it myself anyway.... The white blouse is a bit random here - AnnieM
ReplyDeleteNice look for Victoria. I do think a black shirt underneath the jacket would have been a better choice.

Love Victoria, however, pants too short, jacket to big/bulky makes it an odd outfit.
ReplyDeleteThat blazer is what you'd hope to be wearing if you get lost in the woods, but not standing in a busily decorated room of a palace. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteSlightly less awful than when worn with the matching bottoms. When she reminded me of the lovechild and of 70s gameshow host and a 70s used car salesman.
ReplyDeleteYes, one can find a reminder of the 70's.
DeleteBut the fashion has a habit of repeating itself.
I do like this jacket much better on its own, without the matching trousers. The main problem I have with the jacket is that it is so boxy. Victoria has a nice figure, but she hides it in clothes that don't flatter her body. I wish this jacket would be tailored to remove some of the bulk. Buttoning the jacket would have helped, but it would still have been boxy. I would rather see her in single-breasted jackets. Her trousers are a nice length, but I think they could have been a just little narrower and been perfect. I said this the last time she wore this jacket; I don't think the white blouse is the best choice. I agree with the above comments that black would be a better choice. Unfortunately, Daniel looks the same 95% of the time. Blue double-breasted suit and plastic smile. If Victoria was standing there with a cardboard cutout, we would never know the difference.
