The royal family of Belgium took part in 2020 Car Free Sunday event
On Sunday 20 September 2020, Brussels organized its traditional Car Free Sunday. From 9:30 am till 7 pm, car traffic is not allowed in the Brussels Region, including the City of Brussels. The ban applied to all motor vehicles. On the occasion of the Car Free Sunday in Brussels, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, accompanied by Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore, took a bike ride. The event was held country-wide in many cities and towns in Belgium.
King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore also visited the House of European History as part of the Heritage Days. The House of European History (HEH) is a museum in Brussels, which focuses on the history of Europe. It is located in the Eastman Building in Leopold Park.
Love the way this allways welldressed family presents itself and is a part of what is going on i n society.
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly a very stylish family. I especially like the colors of the Kings attire!
ReplyDeleteToute la famille de sortie casquée, masquée ; rien ne manque !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family . Love what Q Mathilde is wearing . She has such pretty legs .
ReplyDeleteGiant earrings worn with the mask.....a successful look! I will have to try it.
ReplyDeleteGreat family outing - Bravo to them all.
ReplyDeleteNow this is how you go bike riding (not like a Queen a few days ago, in nylons, high heels, dress, and huge hat). The family looks great in casual clothing, helmets etc. Good for them, hope they enjoyed the bike ride and the tour of the House of European History.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot the handbag!
DeleteCan't just leave a compliment, can you? Got to get something snide in there.
DeleteThe two engagements are totally different - one formal and the other informal and to compare the two engagements is like comparing apples and pears. I also thought that Maxima's outfit wasn't the best choice but I seem to remember her attending a similar engagement (maybe at the same place) and it was a similar dress code for her bike ride.
DeleteThey are a lovely, close family. I love what the King is wearing, fabulous colours.
ReplyDeleteI like Princess Eleonore's sandals.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, everyone looks great.

Everyone looks very put together and appropriate. I love a good camel colored pant (or coat, or sweater, I love camel!). The fit is superb on Queen Mathilde. I wonder what material her pants are, they don't crease the least bit, even after the bike ride! Prince Gabrielle is getting very tall. Makes me dizzy to think how tall he is now. His parents are both considerably tall themselves and he towers over them!
ReplyDeleteThe masks have prints of paintings of the surrealistic painter Magritte
ReplyDeleteIs it my imagination or are there two Prince Gabriels in the photos?
ReplyDeleteThose two guys (whomever the second one is) are dressed almost identically and have almost the same hair style. With the mass they look identical. Wow.
