On September 07, 2020, The Duchess of Cornwall has visited the 1st Battalion, The Rifles (1 Rifles) headquarters for the first time following her appointment as Colonel-in-Chief of the British Army regiment. The Duchess met with personnel and their families at 1 Rifles' Beachley Barracks. 1 Rifles are based in Chepstow, nestled in the Gloucestershire countryside between Cardiff and Bristol.
Dress is very much Camilla’s style. Live her purse.

The Duchess as her very best!
ReplyDeleteVery good dress in good colour for her.
Lovely colour on her
ReplyDeleteCamilla is always well dressed. Love the green colour on her. Sometimes the clothes might be a little bit more challenging, like recently with a white coat and very special white big hat with feathers.
ReplyDeleteLovely shade of green in the usual style which always looks both smart and comfortable. Glad to see the plain dark shoes as opposed to the usual biscuit coloured ones. Bag is nice too and a wee bit different.
ReplyDeleteCamilla continue de porter ce style de robe qui convient bien à sa silhouette ; mignon son petit sac à mains !
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess looks lovely. The green dress is perfect for the occasion, and her brooch/badge stands out against the green of the dress. She always seems happy to meet and greet. I think she is a great asset to the royal family and to Great Britain.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly.
DeleteThe style, color, and length of that lovely dress really suit Camilla. She looks very nice. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteShe has her handbag in the wrong hand. She cannot shake hands when the purse is in the right hand.
ReplyDeleteon ne doit ni embrasser ni serrer la main en période de Covid !
DeleteIn this days no one is shaking hands
Delete*these days
DeleteDuring the covid-19 pandemic everyone should avoid a handshake as you should know. Therefore it is not important in which hand the Duchess is holding her bag. Maybe she does it to signal everyone that she will avoid any shake hands.
DeleteThe green dress suits her very well and has the typical "Camilla"-pattern. I was slightly irritated about her dark and chunky wristband of her watch on her left arm. What a difference to the elegant watches of other royal ladies.
I don' t like her.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing - any thoughts on her clothing?
DeleteWell, Unknown - Charles likes her. Will & Harry have moved on. I have moved on as well regarding Camilla. ~Laurel~
DeleteA good colour and a tried and true silhouette for D. Camilla, nicely accessorized with a matching handbag. She seems so comfortable and natural at these engagements doesn’t she? (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteTo Renee’s comment, I wonder if she’s wearing a Smart Watch? (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI agree, she should have had the bag in her left hand. If she didnt want to shake hands with bare hands, wear gloves. It is her job to be accessible to the public. She's shaken hands before in photos. Maybe she forgot.
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess looks lovely in this gorgeous green dress. I love the contrasting black collar and cuffs, the detail on both looks beautifully done, breaking the contrast. I have always loved that handbag. Her jewellery looks good, by the look of it a simple chain around her neck and a lovely delicate bracelet.
ReplyDeleteShe looks good in green - the dress is very typical but it works for her. Love the bag.
ReplyDeleteAgree that she shouldn't be shaking hands (with or without gloves) - look at all the fuss the other week when Crown Princess Mary accidentally forgot.
Camilla looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the color, though others felt it looked good on her. It is better than the pale colors with the same style of dress which makes her look as if she is wearing a house dress. At least the green elevates the style. She should have been wearing gloves and a mask. If she is afraid of covid, then she is standing way too close to the men at the car, and the man holding the baby.

ReplyDeleteOne can say" I don' t like her", which implies also " I don' t like her outfit" in this case.
Given the importante on this fashion blog: maybe style is something quite different in my view,
I would see better this bag model matching a younger and fresher ensemble.
IMO
Sorry but in English saying I don't like her means you don't like the person - there is no further subtext suggesting you are including their clothing.
Delete@Laurel
ReplyDeleteYes I know Charles, William and Harry like her.
Not a problem to me.
Camilla tends to wear the same 'shape' dress. The green is the best color of the ones she has worn recently. Shaking hands or not, she did not social distance, nor did she wear a mask by the car when speaking with the men. She also was way too close to the man with the baby, who is so vulnerable at his tender age. Mask should have been her priority when around children and the baby.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Anon.3.42 p.m. for clarifying.
ReplyDeleteMy degree is in English Language and Literature.
I know the meaning and you' re right, but we' re commenting on a fashion blog, so I meant really "I don' t like her outfit".
I lived in London for a long time ,too.
