Queen Maxima visited the Thuis West Community Center in Rotterdam
On September 3, 2020, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands visited the Thuis West Community Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The Queen visited the project "Together older in West" of Thuis in West community center in Rotterdam. The community center wants to combat loneliness among the elderly in the neighborhood. The Oranje Fonds supports this initiative through the 'Parent together' program. The Queen wore a silk top from Zara.
Beautiful monochromatic look! I like the nude clutch & shoes. The large broach distracts from the draping on the neckline.

It’s nice to see Maxima again. She looks healthy and rested. I like seeing her in this all white outfit. Where it could be improved, to my eye, would be to get rid of the belt and go up a size (or two) in her slacks. She is convinced that she needs a belt to create the waist that she doesn’t have. I think she should have worn this top skimming the body. It would have been more slimming. Her slacks are far too tight, especially for white slacks. On the positive side, her undergarments are not showing. While her jewelry is quite large, it is very Maxima. I hope we can disregard her hair. I think the subject is moot.
ReplyDeleteI like Maxima always so smiling and in good spirits.
ReplyDeleteShe' s glowing.
I' m on the fence about her hair.
Better than on other occasions , but in pic no.13 I can see split ends and in an other picture her hair looks almost white on the right side.
I guess she could need some more hair care to strengthen it.
Fashionwise, I like the overall outfit, especially her shoes.
Her parure is stunning.
Q Maxima looks lovely in white .
ReplyDeleteover sized ear pins and oversized brooch, so Maxima style.

Nice outfit, however, from photo 7 through the end of the photos, her hair looks horrible. Thin, stringy, messy, not something one would expect from a Queen. Totally unacceptable hair. Cut it, or fix the issue.
ReplyDeleteBoring
DeleteEverything about her look is nice but the hair. I think it needs trimming .
ReplyDeleteJvdB, no, it is not boring, Anon 11:16 PM and 11:18 PM, are totally right. The dishevelled hair almost spoil her whole appearance!
DeleteCan anybody explain to me why a typical south-American brunette wants to bleach her hair ?
ReplyDeleteI think it doesnot match: the nice brown eyes and vivid complexion with the fair hair.
Fashion: not to get exited about.
I think her hair colour suits her and makes a nice contrast with her tanned skin.
DeleteI guess that tlhe problem is not the colour but this kind of unhealthy hair.
I wonder why she is not able to solve this issue with intensive hair treatments .
Maxima is no exception, a lot of women all over the world with all shades of natural skin- und haircolours bleach their hair. And a lot of enterprises, who produce these chemical haircolours, live on that. I don't know the reason, maybe it's the old myth of "Gentlemen prefer blondes" or "Blondes have more fun" or whatever? Or it is just because they like to try different looks, why not!
DeleteA very inoffensive outfit. Proper trousers and not culottes (possibly the same she wore for the photo shoot) . Obviously white shows off the tan.
ReplyDeleteHer outfit is wonderful, I like everything about it. Also, I think it fits her just fine, and I think the belt is a good addition as it provides structure and contrast.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is terrible and needs a substantial cut, but I assume she doesn´t want to lose the length. Eventually she will lose it, one way or the other.

ReplyDeleteI don't think her hair is a moot point. No matter what she wears or how much jewelry she has on, her hair totally destroys her look. A queen with all her money and resources should do much much better.
ReplyDeleteKteach, totally agree. Her hair were always styled to the nines, in the past. I loved the bun in the neck, and when it was loose, it was styled so neat. So, what could have happened, the past 3 to 4 years??
DeleteHer outfit is nice, but she really needs to do something about her hair. The ends need trimming
ReplyDeleteI dont think I have ever seen the Queen look more bright, bubbly and engaging, her smile is radiant. She brings such warmth and passion to her role. This outfit looks great and suits her perfectly. This is a marvellous initiative amongst older people, getting them out and about, learning maybe new skills and making friends. I wonder what the girls were cooking in the kitchen? looks interesting and nice.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% with everything you said, Ava Pittman. Pure Maxima.
DeleteAnd I too would like to know what they're cooking!

ReplyDeleteI wonder if the scarf the Helsinki cashmere scarf by Balmuir. I have two of them and they are amazingly thin, soft and warm. Perfect for travelling or to wear all year round, at least in Finland.
ReplyDeleteWe have seen Queen Maxima more than once with beatifully styled hair, for big or evening occasions. But I must admit, I would not want to see her with that type of "hair perfection" (that costs a lot of time to make) for everyday occasions. Yes she has thin hair, just imagine how much time she ought to spend if she wanted to have "hair perfection" for every single occasion. For me, the way she handles it is a message in itself: "Take it or leave it, this *is* my everyday hairstyle!" - for those who can read such messages. I love her for this. Her everyday hair is her trademark and it will never ruin her appeal for me. - As for blonde, she loves bleached hair, which, by the way, becomes more appropriate with the years passing by, much better than colouring it dark.

The cooking scene reminds me on Meghan Sussex.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see Queen Maxima again and this is a great outfit--like the top, like the proper trousers, like the shoes. Even the floaty shawl thing is okay. My only criticism really is the strange narrow belt on the blouse--would have looked much better without it in my opinion. Welcome back
ReplyDeleteThe thin so callef " jewel" belt looks like a chain on the front and leather on the back.
