Queen Margrethe attended the Rungstedlund Award 2020 ceremony
Queen Margrethe attended the Rungstedlund Award 2020 ceremony at Karen Blixen Museum in Rungsted. The Rungstedlund Award is annually presented to a person who has helped to spread the knowledge of Karen Blixen or who has excelled in a field that was of interest to Karen Blixen. The award includes 50,000 kroner. The Rungstedlund Award was established by the Rungstedlund Foundation (Rungstedlundfonden) in 1991.
The Rungstedlund Award was first awarded by Hørsholm Municipality in connection with the opening of the Karen Blixen Museum and was first presented in 1991. The Queen is patron of the Rungstedlund Foundation. Baroness Karen Christenze von Blixen-Finecke (1885 - 1962) was a Danish author who wrote works in Danish and English. She is best known under her pen names Isak Dinesen, used in English-speaking countries, and Tania Blixen, used in German-speaking countries.
The Rungstedlund Prize was awarded this year to author, journalist and adventurer Puk Damsgård for his commitment to several of the world's focal points and for his ability to convey stories from there about the people and their living conditions.
Her warm personality outshines everything.
ReplyDeleteThe blue of jacket and blouse suit her very well.
This is a classic yet interesting outfit. One of her best in recent memory imo. The unbuttoned portions of the jacket is jaunty. The tones in jacket also compliments the blouse. And most of all, it brings out the checkering in the skirt. The skirt isn't bad either! It's not your everyday pencil skirt but. It looks like it has some hip ruching and wrappage.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue coat, great color on her. Her smile is always her best accessory, she looks great!
ReplyDeleteChel
The way she has buttoned her coat has given her a nice shape. The color is very flattering as well.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks great in these photos--lovely jacket in a shade that really suits her.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anna. This is one certainly one of her best looks in recent times. The jacket and skirt both have flattering, interesting tailoring, and the colours are wonderful. I think she looks very well rested and healthy too. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI love that kicky blue coat. It and the skirt look great on the queen. Karen Blixen had a fascinating life. Her book, “Out of Africa,” is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteShe is just delightful, so bubbly and engaging. I love her jacket, it fits perfectly, colour suits her well.
ReplyDeleteNice combination, very good color. The Queen has kept her very feminine waistline (I don't want to say "youthful", because it is becoming a synonym for 'beautiful' which it should not be, but this kind of waistline is, alas, really lost in old age in most cases) and she accentuates it frequently with a belt, this time by means of tailoring. Very pretty! (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree
DeleteTrès belle allure dans cette veste bleue de la même couleur que le chemisier ; choix judicieux des boucles d'oreilles.. !
ReplyDeleteThis shade of blue is halfway between electric blue and midnight blue( also depending on the light).
ReplyDeleteIn any case ,it is very flattering on her.
She looks wonderful and also warm- hearted.
Love Denmark!!
The Royal ladies in Denmark seem to be well looked after and advised in the fashion area.
ReplyDeleteVery seldom, if ever, is there a false note between them.
Congratulations to their helpers behind the scenes. You do your job very well.
