Queen Letizia visited the Milagro Infant and Primary School and the San Adrián Secondary School and attended meetings with management teams of the schools, teachers, parents' association and students. Navarre is an autonomous community and province in northern Spain. Queen Letizia wore a plaid belted top from Zara.

Castaner Carina ankle tie wedge sandals
The top is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe rest just good.
Sorry. No. Those shoes with those trousers look ugly and unflattering. Even she can not pull off this kind of style.

The tailoring of this top is flawless and the fit is perfect, and works well with the cropped pants. I can't make up my mind about the shoes but, in any, case, Queen Letizia looks lovely, as always.
ReplyDeleteCe haut à carreaux ceinturé de Zara lui va à ravir ; à mon avis, je trouve qu'avec une jupe droite ou légère, nous apprécierions mieux ces sandales noires compensées à nouer !
ReplyDeleteI love Castaner shoes!
ReplyDeleteMe too. I discovered them when I was in Spain a few summers ago. Letizia’s outfit is pretty and polished.

Looking great as always. Others wont like the trousers and sandals but for me the outfit is very stylish and well put together.
ReplyDeleteThe wedge sandals without the ankle tie would have looked better with the business-like outfit. Perfectly tailored, as usual
ReplyDeleteI love the top, it's looks very well on her.
ReplyDeleteI like the shoes, comfortable and an elegant black colour, perfect for a school event, but maybe not with this trousers.
However, overall for me isn't a bad look, it's not just so good as others she normal uses, it's "OK", a bit causal because it's the school year beginning, but polish enough to keep it elegant.
I admire the fact that she still recycle several clothes as any other person, special on now days, creating new and elegant looks
Saw the first couple of photos and thought it was a stylish and smart shift dress. Alas, it was not so. I'm with ET--even someone as naturally elegant as the Queen can't make this look good.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The top is perfect but I don't think there is a woman on the planet that looks good in this style of cropped trouser. It just looks like something got the dry cleaner shrunk.
DeleteAgree Annie, I had the same reaction- ooo nice top and plaid done right... then oh no. I love these shoes but it’s a different vibe then the top or the trousers.

Las alpargatas sobraban. Mejor unas sandalias.
ReplyDeleteY luego le critican que se le ven los pies, por eso no se las pone.
DeleteNi hablar de sandalias. En Navarra hacía fresco por la mañana y luego llovió, así que las cuñas son perfectas como todo lo demás.
DeleteI for one really like the outfit, the top with regular length trousers would have been one of many, but the cropped pants and delightful shoes makes it contemporary and so much more interesting. I agree this look may not be for everyone, but she certainly can carry it. Loving the ponytail as well.
ReplyDeleteI know I am usually alone in loving cropped pants, and Letizia just gets them right. I can't say that about everyone. The Zara top pairs well with them. I love the Castañers, and think they work because she is at a school, but would elevate the shoes for a different venue. Her hair looks great pulled up, and her arms are fierce!
ReplyDeleteI like the fit of the top. I would not mind the pants so much if worn with flat rubber shoes to walk through the mud. I love the shoes. I absolutely hate this combination of chopped off pants and those shoes. It makes me think she is walking on stilts in a circus.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks fabulous. The top is very becoming, the fit and cut is perfect. I love the pants. A beautiful outfit.
ReplyDeleteI think that these trendy culotte pants are spot on.
ReplyDeleteShe should have worn them with stilettos and not wedges.
Anyway, the Castaner shoes are wonderful if considered indipendently.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY QL!
ReplyDeleteI really applaud the way she is dressing during this pandemic. She is staying true to her stylish self, but still very respectful. Loved that top the first time I saw her wear it (tailored to perfection as usual). I happen to like the cropped pants with the espadrilles.
