On September 11, 2020, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are in Gävle together with the Generation Pep (Gen-Pep) to visit activities that focus on children's health. Gävle (Gävle kommun) is a municipality in east central Sweden. Gen-Pep is a non-profit organization founded by the Crown Princess Couple and aims to raise awareness of the public about sports and healthy nutrition for the purpose of protecting physical health of children and teenagers. (Crown Princess Victoria wore a coral checker suit from By Malina).

ReplyDeleteI don't like this suit,sorry....
ReplyDeleteI agree. I don't like checked pant suits. I prefer a checked jacket with plain pants.
Deletesuit from the same designer as the recent one, to me equally nice and fitting.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same. Normally this is something I would not like but I think Victoria looks lovely.
DeleteFits Victoria well. Between the pattern and color, it’s a little much. The jacket is great and would look good worn on its own.

La veste seule aurait été plus facile à regarder .
ReplyDeleteCoral color is lovely on her, but matching large plaid jacket and pants = clown suit.
ReplyDeletenot at all! Would be a problem if she had to wear it every day.
DeleteExactly, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the full length photos was “clown suit”. Sorry Victoria! Sometimes you don’t need to copy exactly what the designers put on display.... the jacket on its own with a simple black top and black straight leg/cigarette trousers would have been a winning combination! Don’t understand the brown bag and boots either... they fitted with the other checkered suit the other day but not with this one. The jacket with its strong color and pattern is loud enough, everything else should be muted

My first reaction was ...... Monte-Carlo, the circus., what is she doing there?
DeleteThe suit certainly makes her stand out in a crowd.
But then, being kind to Princess Victoria, it is hard to come up with fashion perfection day after day when you are the focus of public attention and in front of the cameras and your time is occupied with the important work of a Royal nature.
Much easier for Prince Daniel. He just shakes a bit of dust off his double brested dark coloured suit, gets on with his job and is not subject to the fashion critics.
p.s. thanks to our moderator for letting us concentrate on fashion and not waste time pulling to bits the personaities of certain women in the "Royal World".
Awful suit...
ReplyDeleteI personally do not like checks or tartan very much myself but I think she looks absolutely lovely. I like all the accessories with it too except for the blouse.Iit does not seem to go with the suit. very well.
ReplyDeleteFor me, the blouse looks adorable with a lot of simplicity.
DeleteAgree, she can pull it of and looks poised and groomed.
DeleteThat is quite a bit to look at. I like the color and the plaid. As with the last suit, I would like to see the pieces worn individually. I don’t like the white blouse with it. It feels like it was worn only because she didn’t know what else to pair with it.
ReplyDeleteAnother checked suit, really? How many does she need? Does she even need one at all?
ReplyDeleteI cannot help but find these suits clownish. The one from yesterday was a bit toned down colourwise and the pattern not as large/loud, but this one is just too much.
The colour itself is ok (coloured suits can be power outfits), but not with that pattern. It´s so busy. And the pattern isn´t perfectly mirrored in the lapels.
I´m not really convinced about the fit either. The jacket is too boxy, too long, too large and I´ve never been a fan of double-breasted jackets for ladies. The trousers are better and fit her well enough. I´d normally also applaud the straight (non-skinny) cut and the full (non-cropped) length, but this time, unfortunately, the wider leg contributes to the clown-like look.
Accessories: mismatched. Lightbrown and coral don´t go well together. And the boots are wrong, both for the season, and for the style. Simple black pumps had been better (though likely hadn´t saved the outfit either).
Fully agree with every word you said!! When she was wearing the other checked suit the other day I thought it could not get worse - until today... poor Victoria!
DeleteThe color of the suit is lovely, but personally, not a fan of checked suits, per say. However, this is not too bad. She is lovely as ever, as Daniel is handsome.
ReplyDeleteWas there a special lately on plaid suits? That's at least three suits now with big plaid patterns. Looks kind of like high-fashion pajamas. The color of this one is nice, but it's still kind of hard on the eyes. Is it pink'ish or orange'ish? ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteNot my thing at all. Too loud and a bit garish. Also two very distinctive check suits within days of each other is an odd choice.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of the check suits, but CP Victoria looks lovely. I just love her earrings and subtle necklace, fabulous choices.
ReplyDeleteNo bouquet of flowers to welcome her? Victoria has her own style, she likes geometric prints and patterns, and bright colors. She looks stylish, well-groomed, and is radiating goodwill. I couldn't wear this suit without looking clownish, but Victoria has an inner beauty that shines through, even in this suit.
ReplyDeleteI understand that she may want to follow the latest fashion trends, but they are not often the best choice for everyone.
ReplyDeleteSorry Victoria, you are a beautiful lady but if I were you, I would do without checked suits.
IMO
I'm not a fan of the plaid/checked pant suits either. Perhaps, like Queen Elizabeth, CP Victoria wears bright, bold colors and patterns so she can be noticed in a crowd, allowing the on-lookers to exclaim, "I saw her!"
