The Duchess spoke of the importance of having positive online experiences, particularly given the current pandemic.
In this session, the participants included Brighton Kaoma, Founder of Agents of Change Foundation in Zambia; Hunter Johnson, Founder of The Man Cave in Australia; Rosie Thomas, Co-Founder of Project Rockit in Australia; and, Vee Kativhu, Study and Empowerment YouTuber and Founder of ‘Empowered by Vee.’ The discussion was chaired by Chief Executive of QCT, Nicola Brentnall.

This is supposed to be a Fashion Blog, not political
ReplyDeleteYou should not be entertaining this 2 on a fashion blog.
I agree, and this is certainly not even newsworthy...and to pretend they are concerned about the Queen's legacy! PLEASE!!
DeleteLatching on to RF name when it fits them.
DeleteWell guess what? She was wearing clothes and so was the Duke. So I think it qualifies as fashion you can comment about!!!
DeleteThey will have no purpose when they this gig of Commonwealth representatives ends this year, then they can focus on their private lives and hopefully we can see more fashion
DeleteJill.
Since Corona there were almost no pictures about fashion, royals like many other people worked from home and did online conferences. There were many posts on this blog, where you did not see any other than royals sitting behind their laptop. Sometimes we saw just a photo, sometimes we could watch a video of the subject discusseed online. Harry and Meghan are royals, whether you like it or not, they are president and vice president of the Queens Commonwealth Trust, which this video is about. It is alone up to the owner of the blog, what she puts up and what not. You are not paying for this service, so if you don't like it, just leave.
DeleteThank you. Fashion only.
DeleteIt is the right of the owner of this blog to post whatever she wants. It is your choice to decide whether you want to read it or not. No one is grabbing you by the neck and forcing you to read anything (except may be yourself).
DeleteIf you don't like what she is posting, then leave. But don't demand on her what to post on her own blog whether it fits the description or not.

@Anon 6:48. That is a reprehensible comment. Do you really think Harry does not love his grandmother or care about her legacy? There is a business side and a family side to the royals. I think it could be argued that it is a little heavy on the business side sometimes, but they are family at the core. Think about what you are saying, and how you would feel if you were accused of the same thing. Are you that shallow? Would you want that being said about you? If Harry was that shallow, it would have been apparent long ago. He is very obviously close to his grandparents and always has been. Shame on you. Not every post requires your made up, negative commentary.
DeleteShe really needs a good haircut.
ReplyDeleteThere are salons open now in California.
From FOX5, San Diego — “Hundreds of salons and barbershops across the state are vowing to reopen indoors on Aug. 17 [in protest]. Currently, they are only allowed to operate outside if they are on the state’s COVID-19 monitoring list. But some say that’s not a realistic solution. It’s a move that would go against state orders if those businesses are in counties on the monitoring list. But the decision to reopen could come with ramifications. In the past, the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology has said stylists that go against state guidance could face fines or other disciplinary actions against their licenses.”
DeleteThey are not open for services unless they are open illegally. There are a few counties that are not on the watch list, but that doesn’t help the majority of Californians.
Do any of you believe that Meghan gets in a car and goes to a salon to get her hair styled, cut and colored! Of course not, She has the hair stylist and make-up artist come to the palace so that is not an excuse for why her hair isn't cut and is long. I am sure she she didn't go to a salon before the virus or now. She does not need to she is married to Prince Harry, and yes I said Prince because to me he will always be a prince!!!
Deletemost of it is not her hair, some poor woman in a 3rd world country sold her hair for food so this person could wear it.
DeleteI totally agree!
ReplyDeleteI do hope we donot get a repetition of the last video of Meghan and the endless reactions.
I hate to reply myself, so please : refrain!
The smartest thing you could have done is to refrain from commenting in the first place. Please take your own advice if you want a different outcome.
DeleteNothing much to say about fashion. Would like to make a comment on the Duchess's dress but can't see much of it. Prince Harry looks "cool" in his open necked white shirt. Nice to see them working together. Hope they are enjoying their new home.
ReplyDeleteI'll hand over now to the vicious teeth that are probably going to tear them to shreds.
And let the show begin...... I see that the temper tamtrums have started.
ReplyDeletePlease, someone explain to me , what oh why if you don't want to see the Suxesses, why are you still commenting?
Meghan looks lovely... she will get a haircut for sure when it's legal to do so in CA.
CB
I agree with you.

Love the white and blue color combo in Meghan's dress??? I wish we could see more of it. Her eye make-up may be a touch too heavy for a daytime look per my taste. Would love to see her hair in ponytail.
ReplyDeleteE.B.B.
Wollten die beiden sich nicht gänzlich in "s Privatleben zurück ziehen ??
ReplyDeleteNo. They wanted to pull back from life as Senior Royals, in order to step away from the public eye (tabloids) while focusing more on their private lives. They never said they wanted to disappear. They just wanted to cut back on their duties. The Queen, Charles and William appear to have given them an all or nothing ultimatum. They both have a long history of being involved in charitable organizations and social causes. They are continuing as before, trying to do their part to bring attention to and help advance causes that are near and dear to them.
DeleteThey are Royals, whether you—or they— like it or not, because Harry is sixth in line to the throne. Hard to get more royal than that.

they look good and look happy. Glad to hear they are still doing good works.
ReplyDeleteNo comment on the fashion since I can't see much of it.
ReplyDeleteThe discussion was very good, thoroughly enjoyed and am inspired by these young people.

Would love to see more of Meghan's dress.
ReplyDeleteSince you can't really tell what she is wearing, I'm sure it is nice. However, the hair. Just my opinion, it is way too long, looks way too 'heavy' for her face. She really is a beautiful woman, no matter what one may think of her.
ReplyDeleteChel
I would go easy on the lip filler though along with eye liner.
ReplyDeleteIts a bit difficult to see what the Duchess is wearing clearly? I cannot comment on what she is wearing.
ReplyDeleteHow many times did they say you guy's???.As a world of individuals,we are all good people who across the world can say no to bullies;and switch off devices. How many times did she have to keep talking after Harry;she has to have the last word ;no.Fashions around the world fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know. How many times did they say “you guys”? Why should we care? Your comment is rambling. Please tell the parents of the kids who have committed suicide after being bullied that “we are all good people who across the world can say no to bullies”. I dare you. Who knew the answer was so simple? Luckily the world has you—the person with all the answers. Now this group doesn’t have to meet any more. Of course if you had paid attention to what was being said instead of looking for things to criticize, you would know there was quite a lot to this meeting, not your watered down, child-like synopsis. You think Meghan needs to have the last word, I think she is an educated woman with her own thoughts and opinions who piggybacked on what Harry said. It is all perspective. You look for the negative, I hope for the positive.
DeleteAnon 7.12 pm; you do not define me!
DeleteI wish I had her hair, no hair cut needed.
ReplyDeleteA lot of weired comments on a personal level. Otherrwise very good course and well groomed people.
ReplyDeleteThey look settled and happy. Outfits are summery from what we can see. Good topic to explore with young people. July
ReplyDeleteBrentnall is chairing and leading the discussion thus in charge of time. For Just Harry to counter her saying take as much time as needed is a little entitled and belittled the lady in charge.
ReplyDeleteAs for harping on about solution. The truth is in real life most the time we don't have solutions when we bring up problem. You don't need solution to bring up a problem. that we recognize a problem is a big step to begin with; that alone is more than half the battle.
You think a participant should be dismissed due to time? It was just a few extra minutes. If he hadn’t been allowed to speak, imagine what would have been said. It could have been blamed on race, and that blame would have been placed directly on Harry and/or Meghan. It was not entitlement, it was courtesy. She may have been thinking about Harry and Meghan when tried to keep to the time scheduled.
Delete@ 8:11 PM, I am struggling to understand your comment... so in the real world people don't find solutions when they are discussing a problem?
DeleteSo how do problems get solved ? Do yo you just don't mention them and they disappear? I am afraid that if that was a true statement our lives would be riddled with never solved problems . In my world, we talk about problems, exchange ideas, find alternatives, and many times we ameliorate and even fix many problems.
So sick of them.
ReplyDeleteTrue
DeleteAll the sudden they become expert in everything and support all causes. Even start singing praises to the queen. Wonder why.
ReplyDeleteI like Harry and Meghan
