On the afternoon of Saturday 29 August 2020, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene gave the start of the 107th edition of the Tour de France in Nice. On the same day, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene also attended the arrival of the women’s event "La Course by le Tour" as well as its award ceremony.
This year, the city of Nice is hosting the start of the Tour de France for the second time. Norwegian cyclist Alexander Kristoff won the first bunch sprint of the 2020 Tour de France on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. The 2020 Tour de France is the 107th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three Grand Tours.
Originally scheduled to start on 27 June 2020, it was postponed until 29 August 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will proceed with strict safety measures and is scheduled to end on September 20. Stage 1 a of the race is a 156km stage from Nice Moyen Pays to Nice.

DeleteThe outfit is ok for this sport event, although I´m not a fan of the combining skinny jeans/leather jacket with those formal heels.
ReplyDeleteCharlene´s hairstyle is not to my liking, especially the very short fringe. I also think that her hair is to thin for that chin-length bob.
Charlene seems very relaxed these days. Love the bright yellow jacket that nods to the event - it really suits her.
ReplyDeletePersonally the fringe is a bit short for my taste but I suppose easier at the moment with all the sport she is doing. I'm liking the longer hair although it is very fine and flyaway. It will be interesting to see what she does with it.

DeleteI agree Anon 2:36, I think she looks very edgy chic with her new cut, yellow biker jacket and heels. That shot of her walking behind Albert with the other couple looks like a runway model to me. Her mask is a fun touch, as are her sparkling eyes. You can tell how much she enjoys sports.

I find that haircut extremely unflattering and model small children style 1940's. High heeled classic pumps and a sporty type outfit no! no! no!. Those stretch skinny jeans are not flattering either. I only like the jacket and perhaps the blouse but certainly not under that jacket. Altogether I feel like "what was she thinking?"

I often do this same combination.
Of course, it is a matter of personal taste.
I like the white top and pants. The canary yellow motorcycle jacket is great nod to yellow racing jersey associated with this event. Not loving the bangs. Love the sunglasses and mask.

DeleteI love her jacket. Great choice to open the race. I don’t like her hair. It is quite severe. I like her hair in softer styles. I think she looks more relaxed and I keep wondering if wearing a mask has something to do with it. Masks provide some privacy, and it may be that she likes not feeling so exposed. Lastly, I love the way Albert and Charlene are looking at each other and smiling at each other. It is a very genuine moment that has been captured.

ReplyDeleteShe looks the embodiment of “French chic”.. I love the outfit, although I would say that the pants fit her a little bit awkward, perhaps is the pictures. I do love the idea of stilettos with skinny pants, although I would preferred a different color, even a geometric print . I am not a fan of the short bangs, but some women can carry the look, I am on the fence as to whether she can. All in all I think she looks great.

The yellow jacket is fantastic and obviously matches the colour scheme for the event. It's a sporty affair so casual seems quite appropriate and if you must wear skinny jeans, the shoes certainly improve them > Personally, I think the hairstyle really suits her, although I would agree that the fringe would look better if slightly longer, and makes her look much younger. The mask is great though I prefer the one worn by the Mayor's wife

I've read somewhere that P.ss Charlene was in fact a model apart from being a professional swimmer before she met Albert.
She still dresses and moves like a model, she' s always spot on, trendy and so impeccably coiffed, even though I must admit I'm not a fan of such short bangs.
Anyway the bob is nice despite the rainy day.
