On August 11, 2020, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako met with Izumi Nakamitsu, UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs. The meeting was about UN efforts and challenges in seeking nuclear disarmament. The meeting at Akasaka Imperial Palace lasted for an hour.
ReplyDeleteThe empress' poor feet always look swollen, her shoes seem to be cutting into her flesh.
ReplyDeleteI think it is her leg construction, probably typical for Japanese women. We had a classmate who had the same type of legs - we teased her (behind her back) that her legs are like bottles. I don't think they are swollen, they just look like.. you name it :)
DeleteShe looks lovely as ever. Genetics plays a part in a previous posters post about swollen feet or legs. I do think she wore a similar suit in the last meeting, I recall seeing the same pair of shoes. There is nothing wrong with wearing the same pair, I do it all the time. He needs to wash and cut his hair :)
ReplyDeleteThe Empress is always perfectly well groomed, she looks lovely here. I love her pearls and brooch, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFrom Joann - Masako looks lovely here. She - as with all the Japanese royal women - all look perfectly groomed. They are not slaves to fashion whims, but strictly adhere to what their position requires. I imagine their off-duty clothes are different. Just a hunch.
ReplyDeleteWow
ReplyDeleteCasual racism thrown at japanese people on the comments about empress' feet. No, even japanese people themselves don't think that empress' feet is looking good and wondering if it's health related or the faults of kunaicho in choosing her shoes.
