On July 15, 2020, The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London to review Chelsea Pensioners on parade, after the hospital's annual Founder’s Day Parade on 4th June was postponed due to the pandemic.
The Founder’s Day Parade commemorates King Charles II’s founding of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in 1682. The King founded the hospital to give veterans a place to live after retiring from their duties and today the site is home to nearly 300 Chelsea Pensioners, both men and women, who are all former soldiers of the British Army.
The duchess looks lovely. The entire ensemble is very flattering, I think. She and the pensioners seem to be enjoying the visit.
ReplyDeleteI agrre, she looks great here. Nice to see her out!

Agree!
ReplyDeleteVery sophisticated ensemble, also fitting neatly on her body ( which is not always the case).
The duchess is always so well dressed. I adore her hat. And she always is in good spirits, enjoying all her working visits.
ReplyDeleteLovely smart, summery outfit. I like the way the the two tone shoes that she often favours match the coat dress and the hat. Nice to see her with these gallant former servicemen
ReplyDeleteLa robe-manteau est une tenue élégante que la duchesse a l'air de beaucoup aimer ;

The Duchess looks lovely, this is a beautiful outfit. I love the embroidery on the sleeves and neckline. The beige coloured shoes and bag are the perfect choice. The brooch is a lovely finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks great;so nice and bright;not at all frumpy. The hat is very stylish.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of her in white, and it looks too formal, with the casual hat.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I wouldn't describe that hat as remotely casual.
DeleteThe hat is nice but definitely strikes me as hitting a more casual note than the dress; perhaps this is because it appears to be of natural-colored straw with a hatband of the same material which imo gives it a rather beachy vibe. I'm very glad that the hat, gloves and pumps are a good match color-wise, though.
DeleteNice and bright and summery - she looks good.
ReplyDeleteCamilla is lovely. She always looks great in creme. Like her a lot. Ever since. Frieda
