Love the Queen's gorgeous red dress--length, cape, everything. And the matching face mask looks a lot less frightful than black. I know the purpose of wearing them but but if we must, we might as well have them looking pretty. Well done, Queen Mathilde. I have no words for Princess Astrid's ensemble. What was she thinking of?
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde looks phenomenal, even with the mask. Her smile in the second photo is wonderful. Love her dress with capelet and her hair looks very good. At first I thought she had cut it. King Phillipe looks very handsome too. I'm not sure about Princess Astrid's trouser suit. The colors are nice but the rows of flowers running up her leg reminds me of a rose trellis.
ReplyDeleteWow, Mathilde looks fantastic. Her dress is beautiful, love that bright color (nice coordinating face mask :) ). That necklace is gorgeous. Her hair looks great pulled back, very classic and sleek with the dress.

Completely agree!
DeleteI agree!
DeleteMathilde
DeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteJust Wow!
And it's a WOW from me too (for Queen Mathilde)
DeleteThis is a beautiful luscious vibrant pink colour, suits the Queen beautifully. She looks so elegant, in this outfit. Love her strappy shoes and clutch, the perfect balance.
ReplyDeleteTwo elegant ladies in very different but complementary outfits!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how Queen Mathilde's dress would look it had a fitted waisted. Maybe in the future she can throw a belt on and re-wear it for a different occasion? The shift silhouette does contribute to the flow of the dress though.
Beautiful. Handsome, clothing looks stunning. Not a fan of her shoes, but overall, they look great, even though Astrid's outfit certainly did not fit the occasion.
ReplyDeleteAstrid's outfit doesn't fit any occasion.
DeleteMathilde looks fantastic, although I would say that this cape style dress is a little tiring by now, nevertheless the color and jewels make up for it.
ReplyDeletePrincess Astrid outfit proves once again that even high level designers can create the horror that she is wearing. No words....
Agree with you Cherry Blossom. Princess Astrids shoes do not go with that outfit in any way or form either. Bedroom slippers would have been the order of the day. To crown it some well meaning person has ironed knife creases into the trousers of what is supposed to be a flowing slitherey suit.
DeleteThe Queen looks beautiful and the matching face mask is nicely done. But oh dear, Princess Astrid looks like she rolled out of bed and is wearing her pajamas!
ReplyDeleteElegant and refined!
ReplyDeleteAnd those delicate golden sandals!
Indeed: just wow!
Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delight. A gala concert with festive clothes. We hardly see that in these bizar times. Mathilde looks fabulous ( like always). She is so elegant and stylish. Don't like the Gucci suit. Too much flowers

ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde knocked it out of the park.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks fabulous - it goes to show when Natan moves away from the beloved stiff satin fabrics something amazing can be created. Love the coordinating mask.
ReplyDeleteI think Astrid's outfit would have benefitted from a plain flowing full length trouser. At the moment it doesn't quite work for me.
I miss Claire!
