ZARA Double-breasted Blazer and Trousers
Queen Maxima visited Ons Buiten campsite in Burgh-Haamstede
On July 8, 2020, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands paid a working visit to the climbing forest Zeeuwse Helden and Ons Buiten campsite to get informed about the impact of the Corona Pandemic on the tourism sector in Burgh-Haamstede. Haam (aka heem) means ‘home’ and stede is ‘place’. Burgh-Haamstede is a historic village with castle Haamstede from the 13th century as its center. Queen Maxima wore a yellow blazer and trousers from Zara.
I wish that Maxima would sometimes follow Kates lead and dress appropriately. High heels in a wood etc. She could still worn the top half, still stood out, still spread her fairy dust.
ReplyDeleteThe boxy double-breasted jacket makes her look bigger than her size. The whole look just makes me think of a bee with messy hair.

Yes, that is the look...a bee. Too much yellow!

Agree with Renée too much yellow
DeleteAs with Sophie, it's good to see Maxima out supporting the hospitality industry. I like the style of the suit but even with my love of bright colours, it's a bit overpowering. On the other hand, if it was black suit with yellow blouse it would look too sombre for the occasion. Perfect trouser length again.
ReplyDeleteOutfit ok, but hair ruins everything.
ReplyDeleteOh I think she looks lovely. Her height can carry and balance the double-breasted jacket and the length of the flared trousers accentuates her long legs.
ReplyDeleteOverall it's a nice outfit but in a couple of photos, looks misplaced in the muddy paths of a campground. Still, she looks very nice in it.

I like her outfit. I find that the yellow colour suits her and it looks good with her blouse. Also, great purse. Judy
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful colour!

This doesn't look like the appropriate thing to wear to visit a camping area. She's dressed for a business meeting with beekeepers (I say half joking). Hey, on the brightside, she is outside, so there's reason her hair is messy (if it was windy).

I wonder what you consider an appropriate outfit. A tracksuit maybe? :)
DeleteVibrant color that not many people can wear. The suit fits her well. The styling seems a little too business like for the setting. A black t- shirt instead of the blouse and a pair of flats or a chunkier heel would be a better choice.

I truly like this pantsuit, is trendy, happy and can be combined with many colors other than black, however I don't think the tailoring is very flattering, but that is to be expected when you buy off the rack and you are as tall as Máxima. I find the shoes too wintery for the outfit, and those platforms are just ugly, much better choice the previous time she wore this suit. All in all, she looks OK, and the outfit is low cost win-win for her.
ReplyDeleteA double- breasted jacket is only good ( and can be very good) when buttoned up. This way it’s too much tissue and messy, instead of joyful nonchalant.
ReplyDeleteOne of the basics of fashion Y.M.!
I like it - she looks great, usual reservations about her hair notwithstanding.

Tailleur-pantalon d'un jaune lumineux qui va très bien à Maxima. La couleur du boutonnage s'harmonise avec celle du chemisier... Mignon petit sac à mains à poignée en bambou comme les boucles d'oreilles ; touche très chic !
