On July 24, 2020, Danish Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte opened the Royal Vegetable Garden at Graasten Castle. The vegetable garden contains, among other things, a number of herbs, shrubs with berries such as blackberries, raspberries and gooseberries, flowers and a forest of fruit trees that grow in trellis.
The Royal Vegetable Garden will also provide learning opportunities for school classes, where the students learn about the path from farm to fork. The project has been created in a collaboration between the Palaces and Culture Agency and Sønderborg Municipality. Among other things, the project will use the garden as an attraction for both the local community and Danish and foreign tourists.
The Royal Vegetable Garden will open to the public on July 25. In July and August, the kitchen garden will be open every day of the week from 11:00 to 17:00.
Dill goes so well with flowers and bytheway two smart Ladies.
ReplyDeleteGood choice of colour (the blue) by the Queen and Princess Benedikte to help brighen up the sky in Denmark's short and fresh summer. The Queen's dress amost resembles a Dutch delft blue design. Whatever, their outfits are spot on for an informal royal visit in the open air. Love the Queen's earings. They fit in well with the occasion.

ReplyDeletePrincess Benedikte's dress and are lovely, outstanding in coordinating colors.
ReplyDeleteBenedikte, exquisite as always.
ReplyDeleteIt’s always great to see the two sisters together at events. Nice summery outfits. Prefer the Queen’s bright jacket to Princess Benedikte’s less formal shawl.
ReplyDeleteBenedikte is beautiful as always. The blues in her outfit coordinate wonderfully, the shawl is especially lovely. The Queen is dressed well.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see both royal ladies out and about. I love what Pss Benedikte is wearing, especially the blue shawl draped over her shoulders.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these two ladies together! They both look great, the blues are nice for a summer day.
ReplyDeleteChel
Love the blues - PB’s blue wrap and the Queen’s pop of green jacket. These two are so cute together. They seem to be doing more of these together events in their widowhoods- so great to see them together.
