I think the Spanish are over doing this mask thing. They handed awards they touched, still transmitting!

    Nice stilettos thou

    1. Not really when your hands have been cleaned with hidroalcohol every time you touch anything...
      Handswashing is a must!

    2. I think they are right in being strict about it! First they set the exemple. In addition we can see a sort of general trend to take it easy, but the virus is still there and active. They would be criticized if there is a new wave, and obvious that they did not respect preventive measures.
Here at the supermarket the staff in charge of the trolleys is reminding people about wearing mask. We are still in a "fragile" situation more or less everywhere, or even worse in some countries. I see no base to believe that it is all over.

Yes, Unknown. After what the country has been through, they would be fools to take a cavalier attitude towards wearing masks. They must be sanitizing their hands constantly, and have provided sanitizer to all in attendance at the awards ceremony. They are an excellent example to all.

    4. Spain - News from today : Espagne: la Catalogne confine (locks down almost..) près de 200.000 personnes suite à un nouveau pic de coronavirus!!!!
It is spreading differently from one region to another.

    5. Face masks are compulsory in Spain in all public places where social distancing can't be respected. The compulsory rules apply to everyone after 6 y.o. and is recommended for children between 3 and 5.

I don't think it would look good if the King and Queen of Spain were to blatantly break Spanish law where the rest of the country could not.

      j. Only the foolish and selfish make such a ridiculous statement. You obviously do not know much about viruses and the transmission of them, particularly this one, which is spread mostly through the air. Numbers will continue to increase and people will continue to die with the uneducated people like you.

Beautiful hair, dress and shoes...great look! Wearing a mask is wise since this virus is transmitted most directly through the air. This king and queen are setting a good example not just to the people in their own country but to people in other countries too, thank you!

Agree on both points. Great outfit and that the Spanish Royals are setting a great example about mask wearing.

Anonymous @11:41. No, the Spanish Monarchs are following science, and like most educated people they understand the importance of masks , and hygiene protocols. I wish our Government (US) would have been as exemplary , so we won’t be approaching more than 130.000 deaths. Stop the demagoguery, and follow your doctor’s guidelines.
Letizia looks exquisite from head to toe!!!!

One of the things that I admire about the Letizia and Felipe is that they and their daughters are seen in masks so often. It helps to show that masks are a normal part of people's life until COVID is gone. I wish they would not take them off even with 6'/2m. As another has stated, science is a good thing.
