The portrait of the Queen was made by Miriam Escofet to pay tribute to the Queen's work in promoting U.K. interests all over the world.
During the virtual visit, the Queen received information about how the Foreign Office handled the shock wave of the coronavirus pandemic and brought thousands of British tourists home from far-flung travels. The Queen praised the work of Commonwealth Office staff.

Superbe portrait de la reine. Même si elle effectue une visite virtuelle, elle est toujours aussi pimpante dans une délicieuse toilette !
ReplyDeleteLovely!! Muted colors are fabulous! The Queen's likeness is extremely well-done.
ReplyDeleteBeautifull portrait of the Queen!
ReplyDeleteSoft colours, but nothing to prevent to see her age, which is charming.
Her Majesty looks wonderful. In reality and at the new portrait :-)
ReplyDeleteThe new portrait is fantastic, I like it a lot!
mmmmmm Yo no estoy de acuerdo, me parece que no refleja a la reina, no es la mirada de ella. Ese es el riesgo con las pinturas realistas, pero despuès de todo no es una fotografìa
ReplyDeleteI admire that beautiful painting of the Queen. She looks as if she would address the viewer directly. Good for her. Lifelong she worked more than any other royal and I wonder how she got on with all the envy she had to deal with. Maybe she had to ignore it or has no choice and had to ignore it.
ReplyDeleteHer Majesty looks radiant.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. A unique Queen.
DeleteThere'll never be another Elizabeth II.
I think the Queen looks lovely in this yellow flowered dress. As for the portrait, it is outstanding. I love the muted colors, and as for her likeness, just wonderful.

Her Majesty looks great both in the portrait and in the video link. Good for her for remaining involved and for looking forward, as she said, to getting to see the portrait in person
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Annie! Her Majesty is such an inspiration and it is wonderful to see her hopeful.
DeleteBeautiful painting by the Catalan artist Miriam Escofet.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely portrait but I cannot help thinking that her head is a too small in it...
ReplyDeleteI love the painting! Agree, something is wrong. Maybe the chair is to big. Another thing are the flowers, they look too washed out. With an alignment line on the ground in the backit would have been more earthy.
DeleteBeautiful portrait of the Queen, she looks radiant. She is an amazing Queen.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute picture of the Queen in the blue and yellow dress. Lovely but her brooch gets lost on these florals sometimes. Great color dress in the portrait with the Cambridge Pearl Pendant brooch. IMHO one of the better recent portraits of the Queen.
ReplyDeleteGlo
She is an inspiration for example in handling challanges. She will do the right thing to clear the conflict for Harry and Meghan. They were really couraged to wash dirty laundry. Now everybody on this planet can see how to solve familyproblems which are based on a gender.Look up Lydia Cache: Ellos Ablan.
