On July 12, The Monaco Palace releases a video with Highlights of Prince Albert's reign as he marks the 15th anniversary of his enthronement celebrations.
On March 31, 2005, in accordance with the Statutes of the Sovereign Family and after informing Crown Prince Albert, the Secretary of State convoked the Council of the Crown. The Council of the Crown determined that Prince Rainier III was not able to carry out his functions of State due to his health status and declared that Crown Prince Albert would act as Regent from that point on.
On April 6, 2005, Prince Albert II succeeded his father, Prince Rainier III who passed away that morning at the age of 81. On July 12, 2005, at the end of the period of official mourning, celebrations for the Prince’s enthronement started.
That is one awkward picture. LOL. Looks as if one just came from a summer picnic and one came from a funeral. (But hone, don't we all have pictures we would all like to stay burried). The outfits are nice, they just look like they are all at different functions.

DeleteThe July celebration was arranged for the people of Monaco, a family affair, one could say. Actually, it even included a picnic . If there was a dress code for the day, it possibly was for the reigning prince only.
DeleteDuring the autumn there was also a more official celebration which included foreign royals among the guests. That was the time for gala dresses and jewellery. Albert had made a special wish that the younger royals would attend, so there were several crown princes and princesses.
Margot
Its incredible how fast the time has flown.
ReplyDeleteIt must be hard for royals when a family Member ascends the throne it is because another family member has died. Considering that the three adult children lost their only remaining parent I think it is nice that they presented a united front
ReplyDeleteCan you get a traslation option on this page. Do you know if Prince Albert's book is going to come out in the states at all?
ReplyDeleteYes, please admin, I totally agree with cooks7570, a translation, will be very handy, as we can also read and share with French speaking fellow royalty fan's, and there's sometimes Dutch comments also, which make this blog very interesting!
DeleteWhy did you choose this photo? the image of this day is the delivery of the keys to the city, or the speech of the Prince in front of the inhabitants
ReplyDeleteNice vidéo
Because, Melina, it's a nice family picture of three people who had recently lost their father. At the time when Albert was still a bachelor Prince they were his support.

DeleteIt's not Melina, July 12 marks the 15th anniversary of the enthronement of Prince Albert before the people of Monaco.
This family photo does not represent the symbolism of this day, it is not the family who was inducted but only Prince Albert.
Of course mylady.
DeleteLet's discuss Albert's fashion shall we?
Albert entouré par ses charmantes soeurs dont Caroline vêtue très chic et Stéphanie dans une petite robe estivale !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the anniversary. Their paths changed as life goes along, but Prince Albert has a strong loving bond to his siblings.
ReplyDeleteThe date of 2005 is clearly stamped on the photo. So why would we be commenting on clothing that his sisters wore to an event that occurred 15 years ago!
ReplyDeleteYou are right. I didn't see the date on the photo. As a result, I withdrew my comment.
