Maternity leave is 8 weeks in Luxembourg, 12 if the mother is breastfeeding

    2. I'm sure she will do nothing against her doctor's advice. Just a short ride by car, an hour spent for the visit, short ride back, that's not exactly hard work.
But it is great to see her out and about, she looks interested and committed.

HGD Stéphanie's top is by Cavalli, not Dolce & Gabbana.

I took the time to read older posts and comments on this blog about her and I'm honestly shocked.

Stéphanie obviously wears the clothes she likes and feels comfortable in. She doesn't need to look 'stylish' or to hire a stylist like so many claim. No women needs to do this. She's always tidy and kind. She's relatable and genuine. Not everybody has to be into fashion.

As a Luxembourgish woman myself, I've never felt bad represented by her (I also read somewhere she'd be a bad ambassador for Luxembourg with her style - what a nonsense, she's a smart woman!).

You may or may not like her style, that's fine, but some people should definitely reconsider their way of commenting.

I have always liked her - and she has a very nice style. She is beautiful and has a sweet smile. Agree with you 100 %.

    3. Well said!
She seems a very smart woman and if it's her choice not to pay a stylist and spend huge amounts of money (from the tax payers as happens in other countries) it's her choice and should be highly respected. She is always clean and properly dress for the ocasion and thats the important part!

    5. Bravo! It's good to finally hear the opinion of an actual resident of the Grand Duchy regarding their future Grand Duchess.

After all, yours is the only opinion that truly matters.

I have always had a "soft spot" for Stephanie. But that black trousers... and that top....nope

    1. Um. She just had a baby. She looks stylish and she's out talking to organizations. I dont think the organization is concerned about her style

      You have some issues.

I think she looks well put together, comfortable, and the top and pants go together well. She is a lovely woman who had a baby just not too long ago.

  5. Ce haut imprimé fleuri est très estival, idéal pour Stéphanie ; pour la coiffure, il n'y a pas plus simple avec des petites barrettes ; on entrevoit quand même de jolies boucles d’oreilles pendantes !!

I feel like the Hereditary Grand Duchess should be on maternity leave.

    I like her outfit though.

  8. Wonderful to see them out and about and while the outfit is not the most stylish, she had a baby less than two months ago, so might still find it difficult to fit into more slim fitting . I cannot understand the comments about maternity leave---she's visiting, not doing hard manual labour. Duchess of Cambridge was at the Sussex wedding less than a month after Prince Louis' birth I think. Anyway, they both look great and it's lovely to see them.

  9. I appreciate very much the effort Stephanie makes to take up some public role in spite of being on maternity leave; Pr Charles is about 6 weeks old, if I remember well; that is the period many women in employment are entitled to. Her recent pregnancy is still quite visible, I think most of us know that going back to "normal shape", if we can say so, can vary lot in time needed for that. Her top is nice and well adapted to the situation. She probably takes care of her hair herself, that as well demonstrates a positive attitude for a social occasion. I just hope she was already able to start post-pregnancy exercises.

    1. The HGD didn't just have a baby ..she is still recovering from surgery that involved cutting into abdominal muscle and tissue. It might take longer fot Csection mothers to be ready for exercise.

  10. I always enjoy seeing them. She looks great, I mean, she just had a baby for goodness sake. She has on a top that is flowy and drapes nicely. Good to see them doing great work.

I love her for her modesty, her classical face and her calm attitude towards fashion. That is really class for me.

Wow, only 8 weeks..! That's nothing for a mom and her new born baby.

How are people solving this in real life? Becoming housewifes to rich men or leaving the baby to daycare? The later alternative should affect the important connection and attachment between mum and her baby.
And recommendations is to breast feed in 6 months

In Sweden we have 1 year parent leave.

Anonymous @9:51, I fail to see what comments about Stephanie shock you, I am yet to see any ugly comments towards her. This is a fashion blog and therefore we express our opinion about that. I am sure that she is a lovely woman, but I find her style, matronly and blah, this has no bearing on her character or institutional role, she is entitled to dress as she wishes as I am to respectfully talk about it. What should be concerning is when people gossip and make ridiculous and slandering statements about their character ( MM comes to mind) as well as body shamers.
