On July 10, 2020, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden visited Kalmar County Hospital. During the visit, the couple met a number of employees who worked with covid-19 in various ways, both in the direct care at the infection clinic and the intensive care unit, but also in terms of diagnostics at the microbiologist and logistics at regional services. Crown Princess Victoria wore a new green midi dress from Tiger of Sweden.

It is a pity but this dress is not a good model for sweet Victoria.
ReplyDeleteNice dress for her, I see nothing wrong.
DeleteI agree with MaryT, a great summer dress for Princess Victoria. I like the no fuss simplicity of the design.
DeleteAND, at last Prince Daniel has found a single brested, summer suit in his wardrobe and in a light colour.
They make a handsome royal couple.
Very courrages of them but not appropriate, nor wise, to visite a Hospital without taking precautions of wearing masks!
ReplyDeleteNot appropriate? I think it's precisely what they should be doing.
DeleteYou may be right about the mask but none of the staff are wearing masks and they are outside socially distanced so...
I love how everyone is now an expert and assumes the royals are idiots who haven't done their due diligence before these visits.
Very pretty summer dress for Victoria - she looks lovely.

Ravissant modèle mais je le verrais mieux avec une coupe droite sans ce grand volant ; élégantes chaussures nouées à l'arrière !
ReplyDeleteA very pretty dress - lovely colour and simple and unfussy, perfect for Victoria.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteLove the summery dress Victoria is wearing. Daniel, looks great as usual.
ReplyDeleteI think this corona crisis gave the elder royals a well deserved rest and relief.
ReplyDeleteEven if the titles never will be changed, like in some other countries (NL, BE, ES) the reality is that the younger ones are stepping up in the limelight more and more now.
Too tight on the princess. It does not suit her at all. The dress looks way better on the sweet model.

Too tight, seriously? Nothing wrong with the dress, green is a very lovely color for Victoria. The lenght is perfect and she has very beautiful legs. I do not understand that constantly criticising about not wearing masks. Some people are so terrified that they seem to need professional help.
ReplyDeleteThere have been too many deaths with Covid-19 so far in Sweden, yet, they think everyone else are overreacting. Masks. Eh, why? Who cares? Covid-19 is just mild cold? No painful death? It was their time to go?
DeleteDon't think so! Other countries who took better precautions have it under control and are getting back to normal. Sadly there are places from where the virus can start to spread again. And sadly then there won't be any way to seek professional help when all the beds are full with sick people and medical stuff are overworked! Better safe than sorry haven't been never so true!
Regarding green dress: it looks well styled on a model but its totally wrong cut/style for Victoria. Its neckline is too high, its cut is unflattering and gives her a belly (looks at the 1st pic). Awful tight hairstyle. With her tight bun and this dress style, she looks like my grandmother (who is 65) but Victoria is only 42...

Anonymous, I do understand what you mean, but I think that we don't have to say here who shoul'd wear mask. I am from Finland, we have in total 329 dead in Covid-19, we did it well so far. By us it's free to wear mask or not, just to use common sense. I know very well the situation in Sweden, but V and D seem to keep a very good distance to the others. Have a nice day and keep safe.

DeleteThis is a beautiful dress, its simplistic and elegant, and suits her perfectly. Love the colour
ReplyDeleteI think Victoria looks lovely in this dress, but she should have worn a slip. Reminds me of the picture of Princess Diana with the children when she worked at the kindergarten.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is nothing like the outfit Princess Diana wore as far as seeing thru the material. When the bright sun hits the dress, you cannot see thru the dress, nor can you see anything under the dress. Its a beautiful dress, worn well by Victoria
DeleteI really like Daniel´s suit. It´s so nice to see something different than those dark blue suits. This one is summery, it fits him well and the light blue tie is a good match.
ReplyDeleteI also really like Victoria´s sandals. So nice to see a more delicate sandal after all those plateau wedges and clunky shoes of late. This one is elegant and pretty, not too formal, has a sensible heel and seems comfortable.
As for the dress. It´s not terrible but still a no from me. The green is a bit too strong for my liking, the neckline is too high, and I´m generally not a huge fan of those tied ribbons in the back which I think always results in an apron-type silhouette.
I wonder if green was the only colour the dress came in. I think blue had suited her better (and matched Daniel´s tie better), plus she already owns a very similar green midi dress with small but unspecific all-over print (H&M I think).
Lovely dress again. For a moment, I thought it was the same as the Duchess of Cambridge wore but this is a great length, great colour and the sandals are perfect. The criticism of masks or lack thereof seems pointless as different countries have different rules. Sweden has been relatively relaxed in imposing restrictions on its citizens. Even in the UK we have different rules in different places. In Scotland, just starting yesterday, we now need to wear a ‘face covering’ in shops (will probably be the same in England next week) However, no one has suggested it is necessary outside
ReplyDeleteYou can tell Daniel was a personal trainer. His posture is impeccable. And his suit is perfectly cut and fits him just right.
ReplyDeleteVictoria has her phases of wearing only dresses and then only pant suits. I think dresses look better (in very broad terms), this one has a better cut and works on her body, compared to some earlier choices. Nothing to write home about, but also not bad. All considered, she gets a pass from my perspective. I see many like her sandals, I for one dislike shiny shoes for daytime. But I suppose it’s fine. CH
CP Victoria looks great here, the green is a very flattering color on her. I think the cut of the dress is just fine, I don't see a problem with fit at all. Daniel looks handsome in his suit, great tailoring.

She looks georgious, I love to see her in green as it fits perfect to her eyes and hair. But I dislike the shoes. Ankle buckles shorten the legs and - my opinion - never look "classy", especially with a solid heel.
